I agree with you that alot of the lessor known talent dosnt get enuff attention and are very good. I attend the capital jazz fest in DC/Maryland every year faithfully. I found out about the young guy BK jackson because he played and won the smooth jazz contest that allowed a unknown artist to open up for the fest on sunday there are alot of artist that are off the hook and nobody knows about them. drop me a line any time or maybe i can be a guest on one of your shows to talk about unknown artist that people shold know about

Ron Smith, a veteran and an accomplished musician, has produced, co-produced, written and played for some of the greatest artists, including George Howard. Ron's recordings with George included his debut album "Asphalt Gardens", "Love Will Find A Way", "Love Will Follow", "Personal", and his final, "There's A Riot Going On."
I was just getting into smooth jazz when I bought my first George Howard cd "The Very Best of George Howard." I remember the day when I heard on the radio of his passing. Join us on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, as Ron talks about his career with George Howard and the George Howard Jazz Tribute.
