I agree with you that alot of the lessor known talent dosnt get enuff attention and are very good. I attend the capital jazz fest in DC/Maryland every year faithfully. I found out about the young guy BK jackson because he played and won the smooth jazz contest that allowed a unknown artist to open up for the fest on sunday there are alot of artist that are off the hook and nobody knows about them. drop me a line any time or maybe i can be a guest on one of your shows to talk about unknown artist that people shold know about

As an artist who has flourished in the comfort of Jazz, the Top 40s, R&B, and Pop, pianist Brian O'Neal exudes the versatility of a uniquely upbeat, smooth style that compliments today’s "New Jazz”. He brings an exciting and uninhibited sound to the world of jazz, making it a creative challenge for many to categorize his music. Brian O'Neal is truly a talented (and humble) musician. He stimulates your inner appetite with melodic rhythms, and soothes your emotions with the vibrations of each instrument. Not to mention he is cute as hell! (see for yourself - brianoneal.com). REMEMBERING SAXOPHONIST, GEORGE HOWARD

"George Howard's polished fusion of funk, jazz and urban soul helped the soprano saxophonist become one of the most popular contemporary jazz performers of the '80s and '90s." (GRP Records) Ron Smith, a veteran and an accomplished musician, has produced, co-produced, written and played for some of the greatest artists, including George Howard. Ron's recordings with George included his debut album "Asphalt Gardens", "Love Will Find A Way", "Love Will Follow", "Personal", and his final, "There's A Riot Going On." I was just getting into smooth jazz when I bought my first George Howard cd "The Very Best of George Howard." I remember the day when I heard on the radio of his passing. Join us on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, as Ron talks about his career with George Howard and the George Howard Jazz Tribute.
