  WAYMAN TISDALE HOSPITALIZED
  

  The September issue of the Smooth Jazz News magazine reports that on August 25, Wayman Tisdale was hospitalized to remove the lower portion of his right leg where a recurrent, cancerous tumor resurfaced. The surgery went well and is expected to eradicate the cancer and his surgeons predict a full and speedy recovery.
  
  Wayman said, “I have complete faith that with the Lord’s blessings, this surgery will eliminate the cancer from my body and I’ll soon be back on the road doing what I do best. There is a lot more music inside me, and once I am back on my feet, I look forward to sharing my joy with my fans, friends, and fellow musicians.”
  
  Wayman will take some time off to recuperate and recover at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma and be back in time for late fall tour dates and to host his smooth jazz themed cruise in January.
