Interview with Almira Rzehak and her amazing escape from Sarajevo By Laszlo Szontagh She is a child psychologist working for the betterment of this universe Feb 28 2011 Almira Rzehak Thank you Laszlo! It was my pleasure, hope you did not mind “I was not prepared with script” –so it went totally spontaneous. Siege of Sarajevo was, after Warsaw ghetto- to me-repetition of history and BAD sign that fascism, hate and bigotry are not over. They are so fully present and masked ….and it is our duty to speak and to de-mask them, so we will never see Warsaw or Sarajevo-AGAIN! "The siege of Sarajevo, as it came to be popularly known, was an episode of such notoriety in the conflict in the former Yugoslavia that one must go back to World War II to find a parallel in European history. Not since then had a professional army conducted a campaign of unrelenting violence against the inhabitants of a European city so as to reduce them to a state of medieval deprivation in which they were in constant fear of death. In the period covered in this Indictment, there was nowhere safe for a Sarajevan, not at home, at school, in a hospital, from deliberate attack.
