Rez and Andy welcome Oscar and Emmy winner Ron Grant.  Ron has over 25 years experience in film and television and was instrumental in changing the Emmy nomination process to make it more inclusive and fair.  He talks about the changes they made and how the industry is changing and being transformed by independent film and content producers.

Ron Grant won an OSCAR Award and an Emmy for Outstanding Scientific Achievement for the development of a film music software system called Auricle: The Film Composer's Time Processor. Ron has scored hundreds of film and television projects and numerous commercials totaling nearly 48 hours of continuous music. He has been at the podium conducting over 100 of his orchestral scores with some of the best studio musicians and finest recording facilities in LA such as The Newman Stage at 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Paramount, ToddA-O and Sony/MGM.

Ron also has served as Governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Music Division from 1996-2000, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of The Society of Composers and Lyricists.

In 2006, Ron started his own boutique animation company – Big Balloon Animation. Using the knowledge gleaned from his years of animation scoring, he began to write and produce educational products for the preschool market.
