Author Henriette Lazardis Power, a Greek/American who is and has been a Rhodes Scholar, Harvard instructor & dean, competitive rower, and editor of The Drum Literary Magazine, talks about her new book The Clover House, a story of a mom and daughter who have had a painful relationship and a family mystery that may hold some of the answers as to why.

The author's parents were both born in Greece.  She has spent her life going back and forth between the two countries.  The book reflects her intimate knowledge of the language, culture, history and landscape, and writing it gave her a way to explore those concepts through the character of Calliope Notaris Brown, a young woman trying to find her place in her family and her history.

We'll talk about the book, the process of writing it, the Greek traditions, the differences in cultural norms, and how her real life relates to her fictional work.

Join us at the table for some good conversation and a great story.
