Real Sisters is thrilled to welcome to the show world-famous visual artist, Jennifer Trouton. Trouton, though famous and highly respected in her own right, was brought to the forefront of popular attention when EL James wove her real-life work into the fictional all-time bestseller, 50 Shades of Grey. She will be on the show to talk about Christmas in Ireland, her art and process, life after 50 Shades stardom, and announce a big GIVEAWAY for our listeners!
A little about Jennifer Trouton. Before 50 Shades, Trouton’s work had been featured in group exhibitions nationally and internationally since graduating form the University of Ulster in the mid nineties.
Her work has received continued support from the Arts Council including a funded residency at the Banff Centre of Arts in Banff Canada.
Trouton’s work is held in numerous public and private collections including the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, The University of Ulster, Belfast HSC Trust, ESB Ireland, The Office of Public Works, British Midland Airlines and the David Roberts Collection.
In 2007 Trouton was shortlisted for Ireland’s prestigious AIB, Artis of Promise Award.
