In honor of 9-11 we're celebrating HOPE--the hope that comes from meeting good people around the world. Afterall, there are so many people like that--creating friendships, love, art--humble people--people who are reaching out and helping others.
Our theme is: "Do not fear the world, change it." Change the world one heart, one family, one city, one country at a time.
On this day, we'd like to introduce you to an Irish blues band led by bluesy-babe, Mama Kaz. Overcoming personal struggles through her music has taught her what's important and made her strong. Real. Earthy. Heart-felt blues. It's impossible not to love her music.
Recently described as 'the voice that must be heard', Mama Kaz is the blues and soul sensation from Belfast who, in her solo outings, has raised the live performance musical bar in Northern Ireland.
Alongside Mama are Johnny 'Skip' Crawford on drums, a supreme character who has played with Gary Moore, Eric Bell and the Maritime Reunion Blues Band; the fabulously funky Ali McKenzie on bass, an equally talented arranger with history in the Jim Armstrong Band and the Mighty Mojos; and blues persona Peter Spratt on guitar-long associated with the much missed Jim Gilchrist and Jim Daly, with whom he shared the stage on occasion with such legends as Louisiana Red and Lowell Fulson.
