Lamman Rucker was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and grew up in Washington, D.C. Honored in 2008 by Essence Magazine as a “Do Right Man,” Rucker starred as heartthrob ‘Sheriff Troy Jackson’ in Tyler Perry’s #1 Box Office smash “Why Did I Get Married” and ‘Will’ in “Meet the Browns. Rucker’s breakthrough performance has industry insiders calling him one of Hollywood’s next leading men. “Technically, I’ve been in this industry for fifteen years. I’m finally getting my feature film debut and relatively speaking, that’s fast,” says Rucker. He may also be recognized as Mona’s handsome boyfriend ‘Chase’ on UPN’s “Half & Half” as well as his loveable bad boy characters on daytime television: ‘Marshall Travers’ on CBS’s “As the World Turns” and ‘the Dragon-Garret Williams’ on ABC’s “All My Children.” Rucker has also been a memorable guest star on “Law & Order,” “All of Us,” and the popular mini-series “The Temptations” as ‘Jimmy Ruffin.’ Photobucket Photobucket
