    Thoughtful Leadership

    WOW! What an amazing discussion I had this morning with Randy Hain, Managing Partner at Bell Oaks Executive Search www.belloaks.com and Branden Lisi, President of Object 9 www.object9.com Tune in and pass it on to everyone you know in business today. Now more than ever, companies need to invest in their people and develop the leadership that will sustain them. And as Randy pointed out, management and leadership ARE NOT the same.

    The conversation was refreshing and as Randy would say "somewhat counterintuitive". The notion of giving selflessly and paying it forward knowing that benefit does come back to the business in some way shape or form is a business imperative today.

    Both Branden and Randy really stressed the point that "Leaders need to listen, really be open to learning from their people." Employees, especially the younger generation of workers, want connection, development, mentoring, balance and the opportunity to make their unique contribution.
