I started my professional career at the University of Montevallo where I earned a B.S. degree in theatre, speech, art and English. After working in retail management for a few years I decided to serve elders living in long-term health care. While working as an activity director in a nursing home I realized that most of the residents and their caregivers were women.  This began my quest to empower women with knowledge, tools and activities that would balance their inner rhythms while finding magic in their daily lives.

In 1994, I began the Inner Rhythms Activity Program (IRAP) for elders living in long-term care and for their caregivers.  Over the years I have worked with thousands of long-term care professionals working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and the California Department of Aging.

As my journey continued I earned a BS degree in holistic health, took a Qi-gong course and became a Reiki master.  In January 2009, I decided it was time to help other women balance their inner rhythms.  I enrolled in Martha Beck's life coaching program.  Life coaching would be the vehicle to help women Take the Wheel for their personal wellness.
