SORT BY Relevancy
The Dallas Cowboys find themselves at 1-1 and heading into a Week 3 matchup against the St. Louis Rams for a second consecutive year. This season they will need to win on the road if they are to improve to 2-1.
Dustin Copening is joined by Jeff Bowers, Jeff Feltman, and Darren Boyd as the guys take a look at a shocking run dominated Cowboys win against the Titans in Week 2. Is this a sign of things to come, or a mirage in the 8-8 desert?
Then the gang gets you set for the noon kick at Edward Jones Stadium, with the Coach's Slant. Bowers is finally live with his chalkboard, while Jason Garrett, Jeff Fisher, and all three phases of the Rams coaching staff share their insight into this Week 3 tilt.
Inside the numbers we go to look at Orlando Scandrick's return and the impact it will have on an unexpectedly effective Cowboys D. The Rams starting QB for the game is still up in the air, so we hear from both possible pigskin tossers. Plus, will Jason Witten ever catch a TD pass again?
Dustin was the only one bold enough (or dumb enough) to go with the Cowboys last week. Will he stick with Dallas again this week, and can he convince anyone else to join him?
Finally, we look at the matchups of intrigue once again, and the Jets and Dolphins will be under fire as Bowers and Boyd take cover.
Thanks for listening, and tell a friend!

This week, I discuss:
*Obama's advice to ISIS (?!)
*Obama using the 2001 AUMF to wage a war against a terrorist organization that didn't even exist in 2001!
*The House passing Obama's bill to authorize the US arming the so-called "moderate" Syrian rebels
*Senator Paul's impassioned speech to a (mostly empty) Senate Chamber arguing that it is illegal and unconstitutional for Obama to insert arming the Syrian rebels as part of a government funding bill.
*Eric Holder investigating states denying permits to mosques that openly promote jihad.
*Senate Democrats blocking Senator Cruz's bill to revoke US Citizenship of ISIS fighters
*Hilary Clinton's advisers removing harmful Benghazi-related documents before they were submitted for review.
*The IRS Commissioner advising that he "follows the law whenver he can".
The Obama administration - chock full of corruption, hypocrisy and constitutional violations!

If You Don't Have a Home-Based Business, Start One Today! by Sandy Botkin
The young and the middle-aged alike are realizing that their dream of "having a job with a company
forever" is an illusion. Companies have been downsizing, rightsizing, and capsizing for some time now,
and they continue to do so-more now than ever before. Even the federal and state governments are
getting into the act with layoffs and attrition of jobs.
Finally, if all this isn't bad enough, under recent tax laws employees are shafted more than ever with limits
and thresholds for their employee deductions and higher social security tax limits. This results in more
couples working than ever before and, on many occasions, working more than one job. It is now almost
impossible to have only one job in the family and make ends meet! Today, many households need three
incomes just to survive.
Why a Home-Based Business Makes So Much "Cents"
There are really two sets of tax laws in this country. One is for employees, and it allows deductions for
individual retirement accounts, 401(k)s (if you have one set up by your company), interest and property
taxes on your home (which some in Congress want to do away with ), and charity. Then there are the
laws for home-based business people who conduct their business either full-time or part-time. They can
deduct, with proper documentation ,their house, their spouse, and even children (by hiring them), their
business vacations, their cars, and their food with colleagues. It is for these reasons, according to
Entrepreneur magazine, that 95 percent of home-based businesses succeed in their first year and
achieve an average income of $50,250 per year with many earning much more.

Local issues took center stage in the statewide debate from the beginning. The evening’s first question, in the first debate for governor held in the Rio Grande Valley, came from Monitor editor Carlos Sanchez and asked the candidates about the reputation of the Valley after a surge of statewide law enforcement descended on the region. a in saying she would listen more closely to local leaders.

Then she reintroduced Abbott’s comments earlier this year — unpopular in the Valley — comparing South Texas corruption to a third-world country.
“Mr. Abbott, these cuts and the cuts that you’re defending that have left our classrooms overcrowded, that have left our teachers laid off, that’s not liberal, that’s not conservative, it’s just dumb,” Wendy Davis
Abbott brought up a local issue once more before the end of the debate. Arguing for his position in favor of strong voter ID laws, the attorney general referenced the federal indictment against two women in Hidalgo County who, according to an FBI complaint, traded cocaine for votes in the 2012 Democratic primary.
Carlos Sanchez of the Monitor said the clear winners were voters in the Valley. Other organizers agreed, with a nod toward even further electoral power in the region in future elections. The Monitor
The Washington Nationals battled back from an early deficit for a 3-2 win over the Miami Marlins tonight in Marlins Park. Ryan Zimmerman returned. The Nats won for the tenth straight time with Jordan Zimmerman on the mound.
Two Texas men, two homes. Faced with the same situation, an intruder enters their home and they shoot in order to protect themselves and their families. Problem is when they shoot, they end up shooting and killing a cop. The SWAT team was attempting to issue a no-knock warrant. One man has his charges dropped, because the grand jury deems the situation self defense. The other man is facing the death penalty. Can you guess why? Praying the Apostle Paul's prayer and getting results. We will also look at the prayers of many others who prayed and receive results.
F B Meyer:
"We must believe that God is, and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. The Father is the object of our prayer, through the mediation of our Lord Jesus and by the aid of the Holy Spirit; but however we conceive of it-whether the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit is the prominent object before our thought-we must believe that there is an eye that witnesses our poor endeavors, an ear that listens, a mind that can be impressed and affected by our requests. But further, we need a living faith which reckons on the faithfulness of God and believes that it has already received its petitions, when they are founded on special promises and evidently prompted by the Holy Spirit. When we pray, it is not enough merely to speak a long list of requests into the ear of God; it becomes us to wait after each one and to receive by an appropriating act of the soul. It is as though we saw God take from the shelves of His storehouse the boon on which we had set our heart, label it with our name, and put it aside until the precise moment arrived in which He could bestow it on us without hurt."
