Her book "Who Am I When Everything is Silent?" is a book on self-discovery in which readers are able to view the essence of life's journey through her multi-faceted lens. She recently founded a movement called Royalty Refined, which is devoted to helping young women discover and affirm the treasure that's within while walking into their God given destiny through the utilization of discussion based workshops, social events and community outreach.

Tarisha Gilmore, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida serving as a wife, mother, friend, mentor, author, poet and above all a Woman of God(W.O.G.). I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at a very early age and shortly after accepted Gods calling to be a minister of his word. I am committed to serving God and believe in the power of prayer. I am devoted to my purpose to serve women and the youth. Being a crusader for Education in the Maryland Public School System, I founded the after school tutoring program, Parents And Teachers Helping Students (P.A.T.H.S.) and Parents Raising Achievement In Students Education (P.R.A.I.S.E.).

Before she understood the magnitude of her gifting Pamela K was reaching others with her voice one song at a time. This gift or calling is her destiny leading her into path where she is fully committed to reaching a wide audience with songs designed to bring hope, healing, joy and peace to those who will have the privilege to be graced by her voice.

Pan-African Journal: Special Worldwide Radio Broadcast

    in Politics

Listen to this special edition of the Pan-African Journal hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW reports with dispatches on the historical ties between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Zimbabwe; leading politicians in the Federal Republic of Nigeria have given newly-elected President Muhammadu Buhari an ultimatum to resolve the fuel shortage within two weeks; anti-racist activists in Chicago have threatened to shutdown "Black Friday" shopping in the Loop in response to the failure of the mayor to fire the police chief after stalling the release of a video showing the blatant killing of an African American youth; and Minneapolis protests are continuing in the aftermath of the cop killing of Jamar Clark. In the second hour we pay tribute to Cynthia Robinson, the legendary trumpeter and co-founder of the classic Rock and R&B band Sly and the Family Stone who passed away earlier this week at the age of 69. We will also feature a rare archival interview with the immortal Langston Hughes from 1963 where he discusses his work schedules and race relations in the United States. Finally in the last hour we honor the 73rd birthday of Jimi Hendrix who revolutionized guitar playing and popular music during the 1960s. Hendrix died under mysterious circumstances on September 18, 1970 in London.

This One Step - Older Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

    in Nutrition

Friday shows are dedicated to how we survivors are doing something each day just for ourselves.  Me, Me, Me day.

Polly grew up with six siblings in Mobile, Alabama, but was only 8 years old when her father died of lung cancer. Soon two neighborhood boys began to molest her, friends of her older twin brothers. A couple of years later she was assaulted by another neighbor and later by her older brother. She was able to break away from the abuse at the age of twelve, but was by then deep in the darkness of isolation. Polly is now a mother and grandmother, and has lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and has become a devoted advocate for adult survivors of Child Sexual Abuse.

She began her organization, This One Step, to help older survivors of Child Sexual Abuse deal with the trauma of being part of what she has named, "The Unknown Generation"  A generation of survivors who had nowhere to go for support.  In her late teens she began writing as a coping mechanism to deal with the PTSD.  Her three books, "Cider Blocks and Oven Racks", "Billy Wayne's Christmas Train" and "The Unknown Generation" will be available in early 2016.  She has written many southern short stories which have been published in different publications.  She is now hosting her own blogtalk radio show Monday through Friday beginning at 6:00am.

Minorities Conquering the World of STEM

    in Education

The educational gap that is present within urban communities is causing a steep divide within the overall STEM industry. A lack of  exposure, academic support and resources are hindering the posibilities of minority youth within the STEM industry. President Obama has noticed the void and gap and developed an initiative to combat it.Highlighting the notion that if America wants to compete with other countries our youth must be able to embrace a technological, scientific, mathmatic and engineering platform  to ensure our place as a world trailblazer. Tonight we are going to address why there is a gap within urban schools andhow we can enrich youth with oppurtunities to advance within STEM.

    Tonight we

will discuss further the meaning of self hatred and what it has done to the Black Movement of Independence in America.  The damage is irrefutable and sustaining so much so that it is one of the main causes of the break down in the Black Family that is creating so many single family house holds. That can neither maintain the children who suffer in silence nor the men and women who attempt this life of Blasphemy against the true command of the God of the Universe. “ A rereading of NOBODY KNOW MY NAME  cannot help but convince the most avid of Baldwin’s admires of the hatred for blacks permeating (from) his writings. In the essay “PRINCESS AND POWERS” Baldwin’s interpretation of the conference of Black Writers and Artist which met in Paris in September 1956.  The portrait  of Baldwin that comes through his words is that of a mind in unrelenting opposition to the efforts of solemn, dedicated black m who have undertaken the enormous task of rejuvenating and reclaiming the shattered psyches and culture of the black people, a people scattered over the continents of the world and the islands of the seas, where they exist in the mud of the floor of the foul dungeon into which the world has been transformed by the whites." Eldridge Cleaver.  Our beloved leader Huey P. Newton says this about the homosexual groups.  "We should try to form working coalition with the gay liveration and women's liberation groups. We must always handle social forces inthe most appropriate manner."
