Author's Corner: Next Stop; Nina
Laurie & Mike Kehoe and discuss with Robin Raven her background and writings at 10pm ET / 7pm PT
There's something different about Nina; she never felt comfortable in this world. As she struggles to cope with the pain of her present and past, the young girl's life is changed through the beauty of art. When Nina grows up and winds up in over her head in a dark place, she finds herself somehow transported to another time when nothing is quite what it seems. She must fight the horrors of her past all over again. Along the way, she faces greater challenges than she imagined and enjoys sweet surprises when she discovers true love. This is a character-driven novel with a heroine who faces suicidal depression on her own terms, and that's just the beginning. At its heart, Next Stop: Nina is a love story that takes on the types of love that change us and allow us to discover the truth in ourselves.
Robin Raven is the human who once belonged to the greatest dog that ever lived. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Robin grew up in a nearby town called Saraland, and her hometown is a lovely place that still inspires her. As an adult, Ms. Raven has mostly lived in Los Angeles and New York City, so she also considers those cities to be home. Next Stop: Nina is Robin’s debut novel. She blogs at RobinRaven.com. If she’s not reading or writing, you can probably find Robin daydreaming about adopting a rescue donkey. Delicious vegan food rocks her world. So does effective altruism. In addition to being an author, Robin has worked as a professional actress.
Robert “Wolfman” Bratcher is a 53 year old Native American of Shawnee and Cherokee blood, but his heart is 100% native and Shawnee. Robert is a retired spiritual leader and holy man of the tribe. He also has 5 degrees in the natural
sciences, nursing and medicine and two medical specialities. He practices
family medicine as a profession but before going into that field he was a
trained field biologist. Robert has always had an interest in Bigfoot and
Sasquatch since a young child especially watching the old 70s movies
about such creatures. He became a true believer and knower
after his first close encounter in 2012 in Indiana while camping in the
Hoosier National forest. The Wolfman has been addicted after squatching in both
Indiana and Kentucky, having had multiple encounters and 6
sightings... two close up. He also knows the old Shawnee stories and
even the ancient ceremony to honor the old ones. He currently runs the
Facebook group The Sasquatch Research Unit to help others with their
research, and hit the field as often as his busy schedule allows. His
native background and tracking skills along with his experience as a
biologist and current knowledge of anatomy help him in his research
Among the most authoritative documents which describe the Eucharistic miracle which took place at Gruaro in 1294 is that of local historian Antonio Nicoletti(1765). A woman was washing one of the altar linens of the Church of St. Giustoin the public wash house of Versiola. Suddenly she saw the altar linen become tinged with Blood. Observing more closely, she noted that the Blood was flowing from a consecrated Particle remaining among the folds of the cloth.
The relic of this miracle is kept in the Church of the Most Holy Body of Christ in Valvasone, but the miracle happened in Gruaruo. In 1294, a young housemaid went to the public wash-house of Versiola to wash the altar linens of the Church of St. Giusto in Gruaro. Suddenly, the woman noticed that a consecrated Host had remained by mistake among the folds of the cloth and that Blood was flowing from the Host.
Frightened by this inexplicable event, she immediately ran to alert the pastor who then informed the Bishop of Concordia, Giacomo di Ottonello from Cividade. The Bishop, having learned the facts, asked to be able to keep the cloth of the miracle in his Cathedral in Concordia. However, the pastor of Gruaro and the family of the Counts of Valvasone, patrons of the churches of Gruaro and of Valvasone, wanted to keep the cloth.

This week on Thursday Night Tailgate our guests are: former Dolphins, Rams & Chargers TE Randy McMichael, former Patriots Pro Bowl RB Tony Collins, Mississippi State Defensive Line Coach Brian Baker, former Steelers LB Kion Wilson, Attorney Tremecca Doss, and former Raiders and Jets DE turner writer for The Bleacher Report Ryan Riddle.
Randy McMichael - We'll get Randy's take on the Rams draft, Miami's rookie mini camp this year and his thoughts on his alma mater, the University of Georgia firing Mark Richt & hiring his former teammate Kirby Smart.
Tony Collins - We'll get Tony's thoughts on the Patriots draft and his reaction to the Dolphins bringing in their rookies to mini camp but their focus will be on classroom work, teaching the players the scheme, their responsibilities plus classes in financial planning, developing them as people, and how to deal with the media.
Brian Baker - We'll talk with Brian about his new role as Defensive Line Coach with Mississippi State and what he'll do to improve their run defense and get more sacks?
Kion Wilson - We'll talk to former Steelers LB Kion Wilson about his thoughts on the Steelers defense that used to be their main strength but is now the area where the Steelers need the most improvement. Plus as a young man at 29, is he intrigued by the new spring league, Major League Football as a way back to the NFL?
Tremecca Doss - We'll talk with Tremecca about the rash of violence against women going on with current and former players. What does she make of former 49ers star Dana Stubblefield's arrest for rape plus cyber bullying going on against female sports reporters?
Ryan Riddle - Ryan is a former DE for the Raiders and Jets. He now writes for The Bleacher Report. We'll take a look back at last week's NFL draft and get Ryan's take on who the winners and losers were.
The 2016 NFL draft is in the books. From the Los Angeles Rams and Jared Goff at No. 1 to the Tennessee Titans and Kalan Reed at No. 253, over 250 young men now know where their NFL careers will begin. Hundreds more have signed with teams in the days since as undrafted free agents.
And now that we know where top rookies like quarterback Carson Wentz (Philadelphia Eagles, No. 2), running back Ezekiel Elliott (Dallas Cowboys, No. 4) and wide receiver Corey Coleman (Cleveland Browns, No. 15) landed, it's time to start talking in detail about how this year's class affects the fantasy football landscape.
Will any of the first-year quarterbacks make a fantasy dent in 2016?
Besides Elliott, which tailbacks could be set for an immediate impact? And just how big a splash will "Zeke" make in Big D?
In a crowded wide receiver class with no clear-cut No. 1 prospect, which young pass-catchers should fantasy owners target?
Of course, the draft impacts much more than just the incoming players, as these rookies will also impact any number of veterans across the National Football League. Which players saw their fantasy fortunes improve, and who was left out in the cold?
To answer those questions and many more, Fantasy Sharks Senior Staff Writer Gary Davenport welcomes a pair of special guests in this week. Fantasy Sharks staff writers Trey Daubert and MJ Brown (host of the Daily Bite here on Fantasy Sharks Radio) will join the Fantasy Football Feeding Frenzy on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 7-8 PM for an NFL Draft Breakdown Cinco de Mayo style.
For a fiesta of fantasy football forecasting, be sure to tune in!
Come on in, the Water's FINE!
