The Magic Formula for Blogging Success: a Training Series for Bloggers

    in Internet

If you’re looking for the magic formula for blogging success, you’ve found it.  Ok, magic is a little bit of hyperbole, so we won’t portray it as magic. However, this formula produces impressive results if you follow the entire process, without trying to cherry pick its components.  So tune in and take notes as we as we explore how commitment can succeed when talent fails.

At Working the Web to Win, we think of it as, “D.W.I.T.,” for Do Whatever It Takes.  We believe doing whatever it takes consists of 12 very important Elements of Commitment.  Together, they provide a system based on principles that always produce greater results when used together than when they’re cherry picked and used individually.   We believe these 12 elements create a synergy, which makes for powerful results.  Results don’t just happen; they’re forged into existence because their synergy exceeds the sum of their parts.

If you're one of the millions of website owners who are looking for the fast lane onto the Information Superhighway, this is the show for you.  Hosted by professional Internet marketers Carl Weiss and Hector "The Connector" Cisneros, every episode is designed to cover topics, tips and technology that can make or break you online.

The show also features guests who have developed software, apps, schools or sites that are designed to help you take your knowledge of the Internet to new heights.  Best of all, this show is interactive and listeners can call in live with questions for either the hosts or the guests.

Tune in, Turn on and Blog your way to online success weekly, every Tuesday at 4 p.m. (Eastern).

These authors unravel the art of successfully collaborating on books in a lively discussion about how to establish a successful relationship with a co-author even if it is long-distance. Writers Tricks of the Trade - Episode 2 "CREATING DYNAMIC DIALOGUE"

    in Writing

Dialogue is the art of putting words in the character's mouths. It helps the writer tell the story and is a great way to reveal back-story (what happened to bring the characters to this point). Dialogue is also used to refer to a situation that one or more of the characters already knows about, but the reader does not. Sometimes dialogue is used to hint at what might come. Writing compelling dialogue can be challenging, because it often is not the way people really speak. As a vehicle that moves the story along, it shouldn't be dull, boring or too lengthy.

Our guest for this show is Mike Dennis, who writes outstanding dialogue. Mike is the author of eight mystery books and multiple short stories. He also is a narrator for audio books and a former professional musician.

We will discuss how to create dynamic dialogue in books--do's, don't's and tips and techniques. In addition, with Mike's expertise in audiobooks, we will touch on the importance of doing it right if the book is also planned as an audiobook.

Call-ins to the live show are welcome.

Benjamin Scott Allen discusses tips for self-care in the holidays

    in Self Help

Feeling the loss of the ones you will always love is daily, but special days – such as birthdays, anniversaries and holidays – can magnify all the emotions, the memories, the missing… and the love. Benjamin Scott Allen discusses 5 tips for self-care in the holidays. Get the ebook 5 Tips for Self-Care in the Holidays.

This show is about healing loss. Whether it is the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or a dream, we find ourselves lost in another world. What was before no longer is. This is the world of the Afterloss.

It is our goal to share this world together and to help each other navigate this new experience. We are here to explore what was lost and what is left, and find a new way to relate to both. Loss is a part of life, and we all deal it differently.

Benjamin is the author of Out of the Ashes, Healing in the AfterLoss. This book is about profound loss and forging a new path after his loved ones died.

When we give ourselves permission to lean into loss, this unique process of healing finds its own time and rhythm. There are parts of the Afterloss that only you know and only you can travel, but everyone who has experienced loss in one form or another knows the path has many footprints that can lead us into healing. We are not alone.

Your hosts Benjamin Allen and Deborah Brown will share their journeys through grief into healing and create a container for others to explore, define and lean into loss of all kinds.  We meet here and now on the path to the rest of our lives, at the intersection of Loss and Hope ... may we all be blessed by sharing what we have lived and learned.
