    in Entertainment

This week on Chatting With Sherri we chat with Bunny Goodjohn about her book;  Bone Song who won the Liam Rector First Prize for Poetry in 2014.  "Bunny Goodjohn’s poems, as her title suggests, cut right to the bone.  Singing of pain and sickness, of everyday cruelty and lost love, she traces the scars of childhood along an adult’s memories..." Sarah Kennedy The Gold Thread

On The Air - With Danielle Coulter, Best selling author

    in Books

Our guest today on Hot Pink Radio is Danielle Coulter, three time best sellng author of "The Hard Life of Zoe", "If Dan Can Shred, You Can Too!" and her latest children's book, "Zoe And The Missing Clown Costume" which is part 2 in the Zoe series.

    Get her books HERE

    About Danielle

My name is Danielle Coulter and I was born with Cerebral Palsy. At the age of 20, I decided to write my bio so people can hear my story. A lot of my friends have been putting a bug in my ear to write a book for years; one-day things just clicked into place and I started writing. My book is called If Dan Can Shred, You Can Too. I want to share my stories and adventures to inspire you to stand up and follow your dreams whether you have a disability or not.

I have overcome so many obstacles in my life, and now I have overcome the biggest one- typing. As I was growing up it was hard for me to read and write. When I was writing short stories in school I looked at a blank page for a long time because I was scared to misspell words, but I learned that it is okay to misspell words and to just keep typing away. I am happy that I got over that so I could share my story with you and have you hear my real voice. No obstacle is too big a wall; one day, you will break it down.

I am also the first adaptive snowboarder in the world, and I tell you this to say that if you have a dream that you want to make a reality, do it, and let no one stop you!

Ambika Wauters: archetypes and chakra healing on #togetherforNepal

    in Health

Ambika Wauters, director of the Institute of Life Energy Medicine, riginally from San Diego, received a BA from UCLA and an MFA from the Royal College of Art, London. She completed her homeopathic training in the UK at the School of Homeopathic Medicine, Darlington, North Yorkshire. She qualified with the Society of Homeopaths in 1995 and her membership was active until she moved to the United States in 1998. Ambika is the author of 18 books on healing, homeopathy and the realm of angels, which she loves writing about. She is the creator of the homeopathic color and sound remedies which she feels have an important place in the field of homeopathic medicine.

Archetypes have been used as a model for self-awareness for many years, and since the publication of Carl Jung's "Archetypes of the Unconscious" people have gained insights into themselves by focusing on their archetypes. Ambika argues that creating healthy archetypes is fundamental for our healing. In her healing work, she uses archetypes to describe states of energy, emotional awareness, behavioural patterns and links our negative-positive archetypes to the chakras, or energy centres of the body. She will explain to us how to focus on these archetypes as part of the inner healing process and use the insights gained as a way of understanding motivations and behaviour, illustrating us on how an individual can transform their current archetypes and create a more confident, mature and empowered archetype for themselves after a major life crisis like the earthquake in Nepal.

Hosted by Luciana Stiglich, healer, teacher and founder of Inner Healers.
