Hi everyone we are going to have Pastor Arthur C. Carlson leading out in our bible studies today. This is the first time that he is going to be our presenter and I know that we are going to be greatly blessed. I am so looking forward to our time togather this evening, not only because of our speaker but also because of our subject.
Today we are going to see how exciting it is to learn that God is with us. Now the God of the OT is heard in the voice of the Son in the NT, whose life was a continual fullfillment of the prophecies of the writers before Him. In Christ the Son, God was near and dear to His creation. and through Christ we are saved from our sins.
You are not going to want to miss this study. Call your friends, family and everyone you know and invite them to join us today.
Topic: God Is With You
Presenter: Pastor Athur C. Carlson
Host: Donald Retemiah
Life in New York: How I Learned to Love Squeegee Men, Token Suckers, Trash Twisters and Subway Sharks ~
Laura Pedersen, author of bestseller Play Money and award-winning Buffalo Gal, serves up a hilarious memoir about three decades of city life. Originally from Buffalo, New York, friends thought the seventeen-year-old was suffering from blizzard delirium when she left for Manhattan. Pedersen experiences her adopted city in the best and worst of times while becoming the youngest person to have a seat on the stock exchange, performing stand-up comedy, and writing a column in the New York Times. Neighborhoods that feature chai bars, Pilates studios, and Gymboree were once drug dens, ganglands, and shantytowns. A trip to Central Park often ended in Central Booking, identifying a perp in a lineup.
New Yorkers are as diverse as the city they so colorfully inhabit, cautious but generous, brash but welcoming. Both are captured through the comedic eye of Pedersen. Enjoy an uproarious romp down memory lane as the city emerges as the modern metropolis we know today.
Laura Pedersen is an author, humorist, and playwright. She was also the youngest person at age twenty to have a seat on the American Stock Exchange, while earning a finance degree at New York University's Stern School of Business. She wrote for The New York Times and is the author of Play Money, Beginner's Luck (chosen as a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers selection), Planes Trains, and Auto-Rickshaws, Buffalo Gal and Buffalo Unbound.
Football season is coming, and I've had the pleasure of interviewing Kevon Brown on this very timely subject, as we discuss his gripping novel series, "Gridiron Glory," and talk shop about a writers' process and search for inspiration. Check out his website here for more info! We've also got a small number of tips for the writers out there who are looking to get out of their comfort zones, get over writers' block, and get back to putting some words on the page! Enjoy!
We make it easy to talk sports. We will discuss the SEC East in depth with Florida and Georgia writers tonight on the show.
We will have AJC's Kimberly Nash who writes about Dawgnation.
And we will take a look at South Carolina v North Carolina.
