Let's Party! With the Authors of No Test No Testimony and The Soul of A Man

    in Books

Drug addiction, prostitution, domestic violence, child abuse, bullying, un-forgiveness and shame sounds like the makings of a great urban fiction novel. But wait a minute, these are true stories. Stories of ridicule, retribution, and finally redemption. No Test No Testimony is a no holds barred look at the lives of 10 women who have experienced some of the most tumultuous storms life has to offer. Yet, they have managed to find peace in the storm. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, but most importantly you’ll be transformed as you identify your truth between the pages of this book.

Imani Faith Publishing presents No Test No Testimony riveting, heart wrenching, testimonies of triumph that give you evidence of God’s faithfulness from some of the most prolific overcomers of our time.

Featuring Denika Carothers, Shamarian Bradley, Esther Renee Wright, Nicolette Hines, Clara Peters, Olevia Henderson, Cee Cee H Caldwell-Miller, Ramona Pearcey Burnett, Letisha Galloway, and Cheryl Lacey Donovan

The Soul of a Man 2: Make Me Wanna Holler is a collection of poignant stories from the perspective of the African American man. The intention of this thought-provoking work is to enlighten the world on how the minds of distinguished African American men work.

Man Up simply means: I AM taking personal responsibility for my own life,  no longer relying on my personal abilities but on God’s complete guidance. Knowing that if the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delighted in his way – Psalm 37:23

I AM walking in purpose with GOD

I AM holding myself accountable dedicated and committed to a life of constant change and growth.

    N.O.W. is the time that

I AM going to regain my birthrights in God with a new standard:

I AM no longer operating with a double mind (James 1:8) but I AM operating with the mind of CHRIST (Phil 2:5) that is within me N.O.W.

    I AM Confidence

    I AM Courage

    I AM Hope

    I AM Faith

    I AM Belief

I AM Trusting GOD as the source of my everything

Talking heads ,book nerds Stephen Campbell & Pam Stack discuss books and authors

    in Books

In a very special presentation, tonight former colleagues and author interviewers Stephen Campbell, host of the Author Biz and Pam Stack, host of Authors on the  sit down to discuss authors, books and interviewing.

Join these two book nerds for a LIVE chat about the best job in the world.

About Stephen Campbell:  Before getting into the business of writing I spent twenty-five years in the technology business as a financial guy, and then as a serial entrepreneur. I know what it takes to start and run a successful business. Will that experience translate into me becoming a successful author? Ha! The answer is no, of course not. But I did learn a few important lessons while running my own businesses. One of those was importance of being guided by experts. I'll be bringing those experts in on a weekly basis so we can all learn from them.

About Pam Stack:  I've always been a voracious reader plus a public speaker so when I was asked to co-host a radio talk show, it seemed like the natural next step for me.  I love hosting the Authors on the Air radio show and being the executive producer of the Authors on the Air Global Radio Network.  I get to speak to the most interesting people; I'm the luckiest blabber-mouth in the world.

Thanksgiving Day game between Packers and Bears is 192nd meeting; game preview

    in Sports

The NFL has expanded the Thanksgiving Day game to include three games. The two traditional games include Detroit hosting the early game, and the Dallas Cowboys hosting the afternoon game. The third game is a primetime event that rotates among the league. This year, the NFL decided to add the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears. This is the leagues most played rivalry and will mark the 192nd meeting between the clubs. Chicago leads the overall series, including playoffs, 93-92-6.

In addition, the Green Bay Packers will retire the #4 jersey of Brett Favre at halftime. Joining the festivities will be Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr. Amidst the holiday and jersey retirement, there will be a football game played. The Packers defeated the Bears 31-23, in week one. Matt Forte tried to be a one man wrecking crew rushing for 141 yards on 24 carries. With the Bears down by eight, and a first and ten at the Green Bay 29; Jay Cutler threw a game changing interception. Clay Matthews intercepted Cutler and returned the ball into Chicago territory with under four minutes to play. The Packers cashed in with an Eddie Lacy two-yard run to make the score 31-16.

The Bears enter week 12 with a 4-6 record, and are in a must win situation if they want a chance to make the playoffs. They are currently two games behind the Atlanta Falcons for the last wildcard spot. The Packers regained first place with a win over the Vikings and must win to maintain first place, in the NFC North. Suprisingly, the Bears offense ranks higher (16th) than the Packers (21st), in total yards. However, yards don't win games and the Packers rank ninth in points scored (24.9) while the Bears rank 21st (21.4). The Bears racked up over 400 yards in the week one loss against a Packers defense that now ranks ninth in scoring defense (19.8). The Bears are allowing 25.1 points per game, which ranks 22nd. Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
