Dr. Jason Williams- Stem Cell & Ablative therapy for Cancer & ALS

    in Health

Dr. Williams has had an interest in medical research at an early age. After watching his grandmother struggle with breast cancer, he set out on a journey to find a cure. In college, Dr. Williams spent his spare time in the labs and library researching gene therapy. He won many awards for his efforts.

After receiving his Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, Dr. Williams became interested in a new concept: destroying cancer cells by using radiofrequency ablation of tumors. This procedure used the same minimally-invasive technique of using imaging to guide the needle straight into the tumor and instead of biopsying the tumor, it was heated and destroyed. This was already being done in the liver at other research hospitals, but was relatively new to other areas of the body.

It didn't take long for the word to spread about this new procedure, and Dr. Williams was performing ablations on many patients around the world. He won many awards including the Radiological Society of North American Resident / Fellow of the Year.

As one of the pioneers of cancer ablation, Dr. Williams founded The American Cancer Ablation Center in 2003 and began seeing patients at his office in Gulf Shores. He takes pride in being able to offer his patients the latest, most advanced medical imaging technology and procedures available to date.

    Miracle Meds and Meat? Marvelous!

    in Technology

Hosts Phil Bowermaster and Stephen Gordon review some interesting developments in medical and biotechnology that point to an amazing future unfolding. They discuss:

New stem cell treatment using fat cells could repair any tissue in the body

So isn’t this pretty much a cure for all diseases? Could it also be a treatment for aging?

The Fridge-sized machine makes prescription drugs 'on demand'

Many kids are homeschooled. A lot of us now work at home. Activities such as banking which once took us out of the home are now routinely done there. Will we one day have our own pharmacy at home? And how about one day having our own supermarket? (see next story.)

Lab-Grown Beef is Now Almost Affordable

Okay, but does it almost taste like beef? How close are we on both of those milestones? And what happens to the meat business after we achieve that milestone?
