WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

THE AMERICAN SLAVE CODE IN THEORY AND PRACTICE......., BY WILLIAM GOODELL, CHAPTER XV OF THE DELEGATED POWER OF THE OVERSEERS, pp.197 "All of the power of the over his Slave is held and exercised also by Overseers and Agents. "All the power of the master over the slave may be exercised, not by himself only, in person, but by any one whom he may depute as his agent." As the White Establishment Government takes its position of Police Brutality being the norm, it is time to cast a light as to who the police are in this system. So lets begin by seeing if we can make any parallel's from this quote form Malcolm El Haji Malik Shabazz and what is happing today in the countries who's government has police in the picture.

"I saw in the paper where they--on the television where they took this Black woman down in Selma, Alabama, and knocked her right down on the ground, dragging her down the street. You saw it, you're trying to pretend like you didn't see it 'cause you knew you should've done something about it and didn't. It showed the sheriff and his henchmen throwing this Black woman on the ground--on the ground.  And Negro men standing around doing nothing about it saying, "Well, let's overcome them with our capacity to love." What kind of phrase is that? "Overcome them with our capacity to love." And then it disgraces the rest of us, because all over the world the picture is splashed showing a Black woman a with some white brutes, with their knees on her holding her down, and full-grown Black men standing around watching it. Why, you are lucky they let you stay on earth, much less stay in the country.." Malcolm El Haji Malik Shabazz.  Knowing what we are faced with today would you have taken Malcolm El Haji Malik Shabazz's stance to this issue the way he did? His next step may amaze you tune in to find out the course of action he took

The 371st Infantry of World War I with Sonya Hodges and Douglas Culbreth

    in History

Do you know about the African American 371st Infantry of World War I that fought in France?  Did you know that Sonya R. Hodges has dedicated her life to research and honor the men who fought in World War I to honor the memory of these dedicated soldiers?

Please join Sonya R. Hodges-Grantham and Douglas Culbreth for a discussion of the role played by the African American 371st Infantry Regiment in World War I to honor the memory of these dedicated soldiers.

The 371st Infantry Regiment, an African American unit of mostly South Carolinians came from small towns like Sandy Springs, Anderson, Edgefield, Ninety-six and Laurens.

The 371st was permitted to fight, after disembarking from their troop ship at a tiny French village in April of 1918 after learning that they had been transferred to the French army.  The 371st was given French equipment, and had to turn in their prized Springfield rifles for French rifles. The unit was reorganized to fit the French army structure and spent the spring of 1918 training in French tactics, communicated via interpreters. That summer, the regiment was put into the line to relieve exhausted French and allied Italian units.

Sonya Renae Hodges- Grantham is a mother, grandmother, genealogist, author, graver, historian, and researcher, with a motto of "Get The Job Done and Get It Done Right". She is the Founder and President of the World War I - 371st Historical Society. She is  also the Founder of Cornbread Jubilee, an annual event that is held in honor of the corn crop, agriculture, and farming and Co-Founder of the Veterans Formation (1993) Columbia, South Carolina.  She is sole Restorer/Curator of Childs Cemetery in South Carolina and has also authored two books.

    THIS WEEK’S MESSAGE:

Most of us think of love as the wonderful experience of feeling connected. But, have you ever been in a relationship where you felt it was the other person’s responsibility to make you happy, to meet all of your needs, to understand you and know what you want without asking? Or have you been on the other side of this scenario? You were the partner expected to fulfill the other person and manage their happiness. Either situation is perpetually frustrating and not the "connection" you envisioned when your first met your partner.  Is it possible to learn to connect learn how to find and create loving connections in life? Is there a recipe? Can you learn to connect in a disconnected world?

An Ever-Changing World--Live With The Rayfords

    in Lifestyle

We know that history repeats itself and it would seem that the more the world changes (societal outlooks and perceptions), the more it stays the same or regresses.

People are in constant uproars over things that have been settled in Heaven a long time ago. God knows what He intended marriage to be; He said what He meant and meant what He said. Nothing anyone does--not the Supreme Court--or anyone else is going to change that. So, can we move on?

Children are dying at the hands of their parents, daily.

Education in America is a joke and every other nation is outperforming our students. In Michigan, the graduation rate is up, but graduates are reading at a fourth-grade level. Where is the improvement in that scenario? Testing does not teach and all standard testing should be banned until the tenth-grade--when it will matter and students have enough time to fix what they don't know.

Parents avoid parenting their children and children are running their owns, leaving parents looking stupid because of either their fear to correct them or their negligence in not caring enough to correct and discipline them.

Senior Citizens are being nailed to the wall when it comes to medical attention and being able to eat healthy.

The unemployment rate while down, still leaves people working at laughable wages.

Believers are fearful instead of loving and not many are in relationship witih God.

    Racism is alive and well!

These are the things which should concern us because we can change them. Speak up, America with your vote in 2016!

Thanks for tuning into our episode and if you want to be heard, call us at 619-638-8499 if not, archives are available 24/7.
