Today we return to the most controversial part of Malcolm El Haji Malik Shabazz's speech 'MESSAGE TO THE GRASS ROOTS'
"Once they formed it, with the white man over it, he promised them and gave them $800,000 to split up between the Big Six; and told them that after the march was over they’d give them $700,000 more. A million and a half dollars — split up between leaders that you’ve been following, going to jail for, crying crocodile tears for. And they’re nothing but Frank James and Jesse James and the what-do-you-call-’em brothers.
[As] soon as they got the setup organized, the white man made available to them top public relations experts; opened the news media across the country at their disposal; and then they begin [sic] to project these Big Six as the leaders of the march. Originally, they weren’t even in the march. You was [sic ] talking this march talk on Hastings Street — Is Hastings Street still here? — on Hasting Street. You was [sic] talking the march talk on Lenox Avenue, and out on — What you call it? — Fillmore Street, and Central Avenue, and 32nd Street and 63rd Street. That’s where the march talk was being talked. But the white man put the Big Six [at the] head of it; made them the march. They became the march. They took it over. And the first move they made after they took it over, they invited Walter Reuther, a white man; they invited a priest, a rabbi, and an old white preacher. Yes, an old white preacher. The same white element that put Kennedy in power — labor, the Catholics, the Jews, and liberal Protestants; [the] same clique that put Kennedy in power, joined the march on Washington.

RUMORS HAVE IT THAT IN A SECRET International Council for Ifa Religion (ICIR) CONFERENCE FOR MEMBERS ONLY, THE BOARD MADE SOME STRONG IRREVERSIBLE AND IRRESPONSIBLE DECISIONS THAT WOULD ROCK THE FOUNDATION OF IFA FOREVER.
IN A UNANIMOUS AGREEMENT, REPORTEDLY, MEMBERS AGREED TO GIVE ALL DIASPORIANS, PARTICULARLY AFRICAN-AMERICANS, SEEKING IFA/ORISA KNOWLEDGE, INITIATIONS, EBOS, RITUALS, ETC; ONLY ONE PERCENT (1%), OF WHAT THEY PAID FOR.
WAS DIVINATION DONE WITH ORUNMILA TO COME TO SUCH A DECISION AND IF SO WHAT WAS THE ODU?
WAS THE DECISION TO GIVE DIASPORIANS ONLY 1% OF WHAT THEY PAID FOR, PURLY MOTIVATED BY GREED?
WHAT WAS THE RATIONAL BEHIND SUCH A MAGNANIMOUS DECISION MADE BY NIGERIAN BABALAWOS AND CHIEFS IF NOT GREED?
WAS ONE OF THE IMPLICATIONS SUCH AS HAVING CUBANS SAYING THE NIGERIANS HAD NO ASE, SPAWNED OUT OF MAKING SUCH A DECISION?
WAS THIS DECISION A MOVE TO KEEP THE WIVES OF AWOS IN NIGERIA “BARE FOOT, PREGNANT AND ILLITERATE” OR WAS IT GEARED TOWARD KEEPING DOWN, THE PROGRESSIVE AND EDUCATED WOMEN IN IFA OF THE DIASPORA ORISA FAITH
WAS THIS DECISION THOUGHT OF AS A POWER MOVE BASED PURELY ON ECONOMICS?
HOW DID THIS MOVE AFFECT THE POSTERITY AND EFFICACY OF IFA ITSELF?
WHO DID THIS MOVE HURT?
So Baltimore residents won their vindication but they were still in the streets, breaking curfew no less. Are all like sheep gone astray or is their moment of celebration valid? How are they really going to convict six damn cops? C'mon now. It's gunna be another Rodney King fallout. We started out the conversation about how Baltimore government is composed of Black leaders top to bottom. Don Gallimore threw in the monkey wrench of fear by explaining how the 4 branches of government are going to try to take over the SouthWest Quadrant of the U.S. by July 15th, take over banking and deprive United States citizens of everyday living. We had a caller from South Africa named Andrew who really added to the show. Andrew please email Jane at email@example.com so I can apologize for accidentally ending the show due to a phone glitch.
Black People in the United States of America are protesting the injustice they feel they have been suffering. Many White People don't understand why Black People aren't outraged at the recent killing of two Police Officers.
Where is the disconnect? And why are some turning to violence? What are the real underlying problems and what are the solutions? People are dying, neighborhoods are being destroyed and fingers are being pointed. But who is to blame? Those who express anger through violence or those who many Black People say pushed them to violence? Who needs to take responsibility for what?
On this show, we would really like Black People and White People with courage to call in and let's talk things out...
Agreement is never required on our show, but courtesy and respect are, so there is never any reason to be silent.

This dispatch concerns the events leading up to and surrounding the recent killing of yet another unarmed American African, Freddie Gray, by 'Peace' Officers in the US city of Baltimore, MD for the crime of 'looking at the officer directly in the eye'. The young man's neck, spine and larynx were crushed and broken en route to police HQ after beating him on the street. (Rumour has it that the man who filmed the initial assault on FG has been detained. As of this posting, we could not confirm this story)
Your feedback as listeners is important. Please feel free to forward us your suggestions as to how Aboriginal & African communities can effectively, non-violently and intelligently respond to our respective issues. Your suggestions and audio responses will be raised on future dispatches.

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles; we discuss this weekend's events at Talladega Superspeedway. The NASCAR Xfinity Series race was clouded with controversy as Joey Logano won the Winn-Dixie 300, but the rules in the NASCAR Xfinity Series prohibit drivers from "push drafting." It was evident that no matter how big or how small, there was push drafting during that race, and some think that there should have been a different winner.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the Geico 500 was the exact opposite today. There was an early "big one" that was caused when Trevor Bayne got sideways in front of the field. This took out some early contenders in the race.
Other than that, there wasn't much action. Everyone was anticipating the others making their move with around 20 laps to go. No one did. No moves were made. A couple of drivers tried to get out of line, but no one gave them any help and Dale Earnhardt, Jr went on to the victory.
We'll discuss the strategy of the end of the race, and what just may be going through people's head at the end of the race.
