THE BOOK OF JAMES: A LETTER FROM THE BROTHER OF YAHSHUA

    in The Bible

This evening we are going to continue to take an indepth look at one the most controversial and insightful books of the New Testament, The Letter of James.

As previously noted, James was the half brother of our Lord, Yahshua Ha Mashiach, aka, Jesus The Christ. (Mark 6:3; Acts 12;17; Acts 21:18)

Like Yahshua, his older brother, James was not called James, the Englishized version of his name, but rather, by his Hebrew name, Ya'akov.

Among the primary subjects addressed by James are: warning against prejudice (2:1-13); faith and works (2:14-26); the use of the tongue (3:1-12); worldliness (4:1-17) and, prayer for the sick (5:13-16).

(FOOTNOTE: Ya'akov/jJames,the brother of Yahshua, was known as James The Just. He was not an apostle, but rather an  overseer (bishop), selected by the apostles.James was the Bishop of Jerusalem and remained so until his death in 62 AD.  Though selected and consecrated by the apostles to the office of Bishop; it appears that he carried as much weight, if not more, than the apostles who appointed him (Acts 12:17; Acts 15:13-19). James, like the other early church fathers, was martyred. James was stoned and then beatten to death with a club, in the holy city of Jerusalem in 62 AD.)

    RETURN UNTO YAH O ISRAEL!

    in Religion

Isa 49:1  Listen, O isles, to Me, and hearken, ye peoples from far. LORD has called Me from the WOMB. From the body of My mother HE has made mention of My name. 2  And HE has made My mouth like a sharp sword. HE has hid Me in the shadow of his hand, and HE has made Me as a polished shaft, kept close in HIS quiver.  3  And HE said to Me, Thou are My Servant, the Servant of Israel, in whom I will be honored.  4  Then I realized I had labored in vain. I had spent My strength for nothing and vanity. Yet surely NOW the justice due to Me is with LORD, and My reward with My YAH.  5  And now says YAH who formed Me from the WOMB to be HIS Servant, to RETURN YACOB AGAIN TO HIM, that ISRAEL be GATHERED to HIM (for I am honorable in the eyes of LORD, and My YAH has become My STRENGTH),  6  yea, He says, It is a lighter task that you should be MY Servant to raise up the tribes of Yacob, and to RESTORE the preserved of ISRAEL. I will also give thee for a LIGHT to the Gentiles, that Thou may be MY SALVATION to the ends of the earth. 7  Thus says YAH, the Redeemer of ISRAEL, and his HOLY ONE, to Him whom men have despised, to Him whom the nations abhorred, to a Servant of rulers. Kings shall see and arise, rulers, and they shall worship, because of YAH who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen thee. 8  Thus says LORD, In an acceptable time I have heard thee, and in a Day of Salvation I have helped thee. And I will preserve thee, and give thee for a COVENANT of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages. 9  saying to those who are bound, Go forth to those who hide in darkness. Show yourselves! They shall feed in the ways, and upon the barren heights shall they find pasture.  10  They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor sun smite them. For he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them even by springs of water.

The HandWriting Is On The Wall...This Is "THE" Message

    in Current Events

But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

    22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

25 And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

27 Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

28 Peres; Thy kingdom is divided,

9:00 PM:      Techniques to Control Fear and Worry

Fear remains one of the most crippling of all diseases. Fear blocks our ability to listen attentively, to think clearly, to decide wisely, and to grow maturely. I few live our lives in fear, we remain enslaved. Decisions made in fear impede growth because they do not tolerate new possibilities. Lives lived in fear cause our inner life to die slowly. Fear hinders hope, and without hope in our lives we have already died within ourselves.
