Women around the world are being brutalized in the name of "culture." Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation seeks to end all practices that violate women - that includes domestic violence, sex trafficking, rape and female genital mutilation. Education and economic empowerment will enable women to eradicate the culture of violence against women. Many women unknowingly perpetuate such a culture, out of wrong beliefs that they have no choice but to submit to cruelty. Today's guest, Angela Peabody, head of Global Woman PEACE Foundation, will discuss the organization's work in empowering women worldwide. As we look ahead to the year 2020, the 100th year of the 19th Amendment that gave U.S. women the right to vote, we look at how women can use their collective power to organize globally to end war and violence everywhere.
I Remember – Hosted by Craig Sicilia
First off we want to thank all the veterans out there for their service, and our deepest gratitude for all the men and woman who have sacrificed for our freedoms. As a survivor a warrior in this epidemic so hidden that I don’t even know who I am a lot of the time. I remember all the loss of friends and family and especially myself, or at least my old self.
I am this new person who the people I used to love, don’t recognize, I still remember those times, but they have been over shadowed by the destruction of the old me and the pain as I formed this new person. In the realm of things I have learned to like this new me, this more sensitive person who truly cares for people.
And now something new has happened, a type of ptsd from all of the new friends that this new me has made in the last 9 years are dying all around me, the loss that I am feeling in my heart make it that I find myself struggling to care, struggling to go on. As I write this I am not sure I can but am trying. I never allowed myself to develop a person relationship, to fall in love, I would not allow it. Tonight we will explore how to cope with loss, share what we need to do to allow ourselves to love. Allow ourselves to live life again.
Join in let’s see if we can discover how this all works

Winnetka, IL – Recent Gallup study figures estimate that 70 percent of the workforce is disengaged and only 1 in 10 people naturally know how to motivate their team. So what is the actual cost of a disengaged workforce?
Companies fold because of poor leadership, and each year, billions of dollars are wasted hiring the wrong people and not developing the right ones. That translates into missed opportunities, not seeing where an organization can be innovative and lean to remain ahead of its competition. The response has equally been shortsighted; businesses often implement new strategies that do not last and lose money hand over fist.
Sehaam Caselberg is the founder of SC Coaching and Consulting, where she specializes in organizational culture revitalization and transformation. As an expert in organizational development, Sehaam focuses on aligning the values of a company’s people with its overall strategy.
“Employees look to senior management to model the way,” explains Sehaam. “If we can’t align our decision making with our values, we’re compromising ourselves, we can’t make good decisions. We need to be able to identify with the culture of the organization. If I can’t do that and I’m leading other people, they can’t do it either.”
Sehaam works with senior leaders and their teams to establish a foundation and hold them accountable to the values they say are important to them.
“My role is to be a mirror and challenge them when I am observing behavior that doesn’t correspond to their values. Behavior shifts need to be embedded in an organization’s culture if they are to stick.”

Authentic values based leadership is doing what works for you and your organization. Value sets in your organization will be different than the competition down the street. Leading the same way you have always done without reflection creates a non-engaged culture; lead with valued integrity and everything else will fall into place to the next levels of success you could not see before.
