Working Mom presents mother daughter derby day chari-TEA for the Next Generation

    in Business

(SAVANNAH, GA) Matilda Jane Clothing is pleased to announce the inaugural Derby Day Mother Daughter Chari-TEA to be held on Saturday, May 2 at the Savannah Golf Club from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $25, with proceeds benefiting The Next Generation a volunteer organization founded to benefit The Children's Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center.

Children’s clothing entrepreneur Robyn Shirley started her home-based business in 2008 after overcoming breast cancer, a bilateral mastectomy and delivering healthy twin girls. Robyn wanted a business that combined her passion for fashion with her new job as a mother.  She became one of Matilda Jane Clothing’s first independent representatives, known as Trunk Keepers.

Robyn's career began in  fashion merchandising in New York. But  Being a self-proclaimed  "Southern girl" her heart led her back home where she received a master’s degree in occupational therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina. There, she met and later married Paul Shirley. They settled in Bluffton, where she managed his Oral Surgery practice and worked as an occupational therapist until devastating news changed everything.

  • The Baltimore Mom Who Hit Her Son: Was this LOVE or Abuse?

    in Parents

SHE was hailed as the “mother of the year” after being filmed slapping her son and dragging him home from the Baltimore riots, but now Toya Graham has become embroiled in a particularly American row about race.

The single mother became a sensation after a local news channel captured her confronting her son Michael, 16, as violence flared on Monday.  After spotting the teenager wearing a hoodie and mask amid rock-throwing protesters, Graham, 42, ran over to challenge him. “Are you for real?” she screamed at him. ” Really? This is what you want to do?

The Baltimore mother's reaction was understandable and maybe even reasonable given the highly charged circumstances. She told CBS News that her intention was to protect her son. It seems that she did what she thought she had to do to remove her son from a very dangerous riot. But in the process, she slapped, hit, cursed and shouted at him to "Get the f--- over here" and "take that mother f-----g mask off!"

Now, she is under fire for hitting and cursing at her son.  Was this a form of LOVE or abuse?

What to YOU think? We want to hear from YOU...

Tune in, this coversation will be intriguing.

Prodigy : Before we begin. Why this may or may not be for you.

    in Radio

I  am a professional team trainer for individuals who will earn no less than the US Government's standard of living wage starting, meaning no less than $33,000 US dollars a year (yes $50,000 is the average and it doesn't depend on time but the individual's own level of ease; more than that is not for beginners.)  This is working one job only, this one, and no one more hours needed than the ones to meet your specic goals, meaning part time or more the average work week of 40hrs may be your max personally, by choice or out of necessity but spending more than that isn't for anyone here except for choice to keep on going ; we are not looking for people who generally do not work 40hrs max or less.

This IS a job and a good one.  The benefits that are described are the trade offs for the work that you put in to your present and other jobs being the same or maybe more but I repeat this is a job , for people who want to work one job only to have to meet all their basic needs with extra time, and Peace of mind to enjoy it.  The catch is that you're going to be trained in doing sales over the phone, Internet, in person until it becomes so easy that it's natural, trained and trained until it becomes stress less for you at all, in this company, forget about any others, let them stress out.  That's that.  Inbox me any time if you can afford for your car (no need to have one but, ironically you will need this) I repeat, any time you can afford emergency road side service for your car, or switch emergency road side service for your car for one same or maybe better service, same or cheaper price no more) It is basically, per month, a fixed $20 dollars, no more is needed.
