Clint Howard, actor, has a career spanning over fifty years, and over two hundred film and TV shows. He has spent his entire life entertaining us in a variety of interesting and unique roles. From childhood roles in The Andy Griffith Show and Star Trek to of course, the hit TV Show Gentle Ben, Clint was a well recognized personality by the time he was ten.Making the transition from juvenile to adult actor was no problem for Clint. Cult classic Rock N Roll High School and horror genre Evilspeak showed as an adult he could be versatile and affective. Whether Clint works in comedy classics like Waterboy, the Austin Powers film series or a hilarious episode of Seinfeld, he comfortably slides into dramatic roles such as Apollo 13, Frost/Nixon and Alabama Moon. Recently, Clint can be seen in the campy, B Horror title, Bloodrayne Third Reich and Rob Zombie's Lords of Salem. He's also put on the producing hat, teaming with long time colleague Gavin Grazer on an indie comedy. Born and raised in Burbank, California, Clint has always balanced his professional career with a 'hometown' oriented life. He continues to live with his wife Melanie in Burbank and stay active in the community. A continuous conversation that we have on this radio show is about work life balance. How do you find your balance? Is there a repetitive action that you complete daily or even weekly? Could it be going to church, synagogue, or the mosque? Is it going to the beach or enjoying some type of nature related activity? Do you mediate or just rest? These are some imperative rituals that need to be done to maintain sanity after a hard day’s work. Dr. Allan Roach hails from Trinidad and Tobago and has found a new mode of completing in his work life balance. Him and his wife, Diana Roach, has a family owned auto shop in Tunapuna, Trinidad. Dr. Roach has been in business for over 3 decades and has sought out a mode for finding work life balance through metaphysics that is agreeable for him.

Do you realize that our senses play an essential part in work/life balance? When you are at home what senses are ignited when it is time for sleeping, eating, studying, or relaxing? When you are at work, what senses are set into motion to complete the project, maintain productivity, and remain alert? Our perceptions are not always the obvious denominators to bring about our desired outcome. Join us as we discuss how in tuned are our perceptions are with our reality.
Join Johnnie and Daniel as they tackle the hot topic of work-life balance. Can being more balanced make us more productive? Does it really have an impact on our lives and the lives of others? Join us for an engaging conversation that will leave you looking for ways to stop and smell the roses. Daniel has often said he makes more money doing nothing, than he does doing something. Tune in and see what he means by that!
While we have been led to believe that we can separate our personal and work personas, we are only one person. We don’t need to have this separation and balancing act in our lives. For many, work has become how we define ourselves and why we need balance is because many of us no longer have a life outside of their work.
We can buy into the work-life balance mythology or we can change the story and realize there is only life; no blending or integrating required. We need to become whole as people by figuring out what role work plays in our lives and our own relationship with money and power. Many people of all ages no longer want to live someone else’s stories and are picking themselves instead of waiting to be picked for a job or a promotion.
LIFEworking is an approach that meshes life and work into an integrated existence, but most importantly, it is a way of living in which the individual and not the organization defines the meaning of success. To achieve LIFEworking, we need to first understand what success really means for us, and then systematically address the fears that stand in the way of change. These fears typically relate to personal anxiety and the social consequences of choice.
We will discuss these topics and more during this very introspective #WorkTrends event.
Warren Buffet said, "The difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say 'no' to almost everything." One of the biggest problems many entrepreneurs have is that they say yes to too many things that they don't have to do. What ultimately happens is they end up in a state of perpetual overwhelm. Sound like you? You try and do everything and the next thing you know the business that started out from a place of passion, becomes nothing but a noose around your neck. The idea of work-life balance to you is nothing but a pipe dream that you will never achieve. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Join me and Business Consultant, Nancy O’Keefe, as we peel away the to-do's and not-to-do's for small business owners, so you can get back in the driver's seat and do what you love. Nancy is also the host of eWNRadio Network’s show, “When Opportunity Knocks,” that can be heard live on Monday’s at 12n ET.
