This Week on What's Right About Men? - Role models for men-are there any?
It has been hypothesized that individuals compare themselves with differing reference groups who occupy the social role to which an individual aspires. If this is true, who are today's role models? Why is it important for any of us to have a role model? And, are role models necessary?

Last week we talked about empowering HR and the hiring process, and this week we’re going to talk about empowering your world of work wherever you work.
Because we can work from anywhere today. Some of us anyway. While there are no definitive statistics, last year a CBS News poll revealed that 24% of workers telecommuted regularly for their jobs. (How many in their pajamas you ask? Probably more than you think.)
Could be more, could be less, but the reality is that many more full-time, part-time and contract workers are not only working from home, they’re successfully working from anywhere.
Whatever the remote mix, how to do it right, what to consider before you make the “workshift,” and what technologies you’ll need to perform better, all need to be addressed.
Today’s realities include: what it takes to run a meeting from a coffee shop, managing a Skype call from 35,000 feet aboard an airplane, and juggling the demands of a domestic situation while you’re working at home all day.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about how to successfully work from anywhere with this week’s guest: Simon Salt, six-year workshifting veteran, photographer, writer, speaker and author of Out of Office.

The full impact of violent encounters is often extreme for victims and can affect them for the rest of their lives. The campus environment combined with the culture of big time college athletics can be seen as a devastating mix, especially since one in five women on campus will experience a sexual assault or an attempted rape.
Athletes are often seen as role models and leaders in their communities. They can have a huge influence towards minimizing violence and improving societal standards.
National Coalition Against Violent Athletes (NCAVA) is dedicated to a concept of sports, as an activity, that promotes positive life skills in athletes so that they develop into respectful, productive role models.
Their mission is eliminate off-the-field violence by athletes, through the implementation of prevention methods that develop positive leadership potential of athletes within their teams and their communities.
Katherine Redmond Brown, founder of the NCAVA joins us LIVE at BEYONDtheCheers on blogtalkradio on Wednesday, October 1st at 7PM EST. Listen to our repeat broadnast on AMFM247 or at anytime on iHeart Radio or iTunes

On tonight's episode of Talking in Circles we talk about a high profile crew chief, Slugger Labbe, currently crew chief of Paul Menard's number 27 team, moving up at Richard Childress Racing. Labbe, has had a great deal of success with Menard, including Paul's first Sprint Cup Series win in 2011 at Indianapolis. He moves on to an R&D role with the team, and Justin Alexander will take over for Labbe.
Also, Regan Smith is now back at JR Motorsports for 2015. Smith, a former Sprint Cup Series driver, has spent the last two seasons in the Nationwide Series with JR Motorsports. Is Regan Smith the first chip to fall. Where do the other veteran drivers go now? Elliott Sadler?
Also, veteran Mike Ford will move on from BK Racing and become a crew chief in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with Athenian Motorsports, the family owned team for John Wes Townley. Mike Beam used to be the cc there, no word on where he's going.
This week in NASCAR history takes us back to September 30, 1990, when a young and up and coming driver Robby Moroso was tragcially killed in a car accident after the race in North Wilkesboro. Moroso was crowned rookie of the year in 1990, even though he wasn't there to accept the award. We'll talk about the legacy of Robby Moroso and how he helped pave the way for the "young guy."
Also, we'll do our Kansas preview and give you our predictions.

Alisa Fierro is a holistic and intuitive practitioner in practice since 2004. She has held many certifications in the healing arts and currently practice's in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Massage Therapist and certified Reiki Master. In 2002 she resigned from the Dept. of Corrections in search for a better life career. After a month off she decided to attend ASMT in Phx. Following graduation she realized how competitive it was to work in the beauty industry and nearly quit to return to law enforcement. Around 2009, while she was in the hiring process for a police department, things shifted for her and she received a clear message and Divine guidance to stay and help people who are suffering needlessly. Over the years, Alisa started to notice that she was different than most massage therapists and that each time she would work with someone in mental distress, she would experience what they felt and could see in her mind what they were going through. The beautiful thing is that not only does she see it and feel it, Alisa also receives Divine guidance on how to help through silent healings or Theta Healing. As an empath, many times she will feel her client's emotions before they arrive for a treatment. Alisa is so happy and grateful for having the ears to listen to the truth about who she is and why she is here.
