Collaboration + Competition + Compassion: What really works in business?

    in Business

Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Shawn Marie Turi, your host of Business IS Personal: What you do and WHY you do it... MATTERS, interviews Madison Canary, Founder and Yogi of Yoga N Motion.

In the work place, Yoga has been shown to decrease stress and increase productivity! Madison teaches both privately and to groups and she is contracted by not only dozens of yoga studios but also by corporations who believe and support company wellness programs… which we certainly need more of. Madison is especially trained in Vinyasa flow, Restorative/Yin yoga as well as children's yoga and her works focus is to encourage students to find their inner source of power through unifying body and breathe to overcome the false limitations of the mind.

After 10 years as a ballerina, Madison came to yoga, as injuries she’d endured in dance and ballet, left her body injured and unable to move. Yoga brought her body and spirit back to life and from the deep appreciation and love for the practice, she trained to become a certified teacher, so she could in turn pass along the gift of yoga, which had transformed her life. Her excitement for the practice is infectious and the number one thing she aspires to pass along to her students is joy. Joy for life, for movement, for their bodies.

Yoga has brought feelings of peace and determination to Madison that affect both her business and her life and in the most positive ways, and as a result, she feels healthier, stronger and more centered now than ever before.

She wishes that for her students as well and sharing yoga with others is an honor and a privilege and it’s truly what she’s been called to do.

Dealing with the Challenge of Sickness and Entrepreneurship

    in Business

Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Suzan St. Maur on Women in Business Radio on Monday 22, December at 11:00am EST where they will be discussing the issue of sickness and entrepreneurship. They will be looking at how women entrepreneurs who are sick deal with their health and at the same time manage to keep their business from failing. Suzan, a cancer survivor and entrepreneur will share her personal experience with cancer and her experience continuing to work — run her own business while undergoing and recovering from treatment of cancer.

Research has shown that becoming sick or disabled can happen to an entrepreneur, and that it is very important to contemplate your options, proactively. Research further suggests that as an entrepreneur, you should think about “creating a safety net of benefits” to ensure that your business does not fail in time like these.

Suzan is an entrepreneur since 2011 and works with micro business owners who face the challenge of keeping their business open while coping with the treatment of cancer. Suzan St. Maur is a Canadian-born, UK based business owner who focuses on content writing and consultancy. She also coaches and trains others in blog writing. Time of Transfer "Passing The Baton To The Next Generation (Judges 2:6-15)

    in Christianity

When we serious look at things today, it was told to us in Judges 2:6-15. For those of us that have by pass this please go back to see what the Lord has shared. So I’m going to address the subject of passing on the baton from one generation to the next. I really want to sound a warning to each and every one of us that, even if we are like Joshua and his generation, who knew the Lord and experienced His power, this is no guarantee that our children and the next generation will follow in our footsteps. Let me be as open as I can each of us play a significant role in helping to pass on the baton to the next generation with great care, because the race could easily be lost if we fumble the baton. Those of you that are parent I want to give practical instruction to, as well as to others who join in this task of help raising this generation, and let me be mindful  and show in detail on how to pass on the baton of faith to the next generation because its very important that they understand its a might win the race. Join us and share this lesson: "Passing The Baton To The Next Generation" also visit us at www.uptopministries.org and continue to send in your requests there
