CALL IN YOUR QUESTIONS LIVE TO:
Pelvic floor health is certainly not something women talk about during happy hour or over lunch. Occasional giggly references to ‘don’t make me laugh (I’ll pee!)’ or kegel exercises is about all that takes place when talking about this important aspect of a woman’s health.
However, the fact that this conversation can be awkward shouldn’t diminish its importance. Do you realize that in addition to controlling our urine, helping us to have babies, our pelvic floor also holds up our guts? There is much to learn about having a healthy pelvic floor – what it is and how to care for it. Join us to hear more.

SUICIDE: WHAT ABOUT THOSE LEFT BEHIND?
We’ve all known a friend of a friend, or a family member, or even a celebrity who shocked and dumbfounded us because of his or her suicide. Your children may have school friends who have contemplated or carried out a suicide. Maybe a relative left you wondering for the rest of your life what you could have done. Perhaps you have had thoughts of killing yourself. Not a happy topic, for sure, but one which can affect all of us.
September is suicide awareness month, so this is a perfect time to discuss this topic and find out more about the whys and guilt that can accompany it.
Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman is responsible for research for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This includes gathering data from AFSP funded studies and communicating those findings to the larger community and public. She also collaborates on the development of prevention materials such as films, programs and brochures.
Dr. Harkavy-Friedman received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Florida. In 1984 she joined Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute, first as an assistant professor and later an associate professor of clinical psychology in psychiatry.
She has been studying suicidal behavior for more than 25 years and has more than 90 publications. As a licensed psychologist, she maintains a clinical practice at her office in Manhattan.
This is the first of our series of interview with people that I admire, Mr. Walt Haraburda has an interesting perspective on "Perseverence.." Walt is a recent amputee please tune in and hopefully his story will inspire you
"This Week's Topic”:
Do Men Shop For Sex, While Women Shop For Relationships?...But do men in-turn pay for sex with relationships, and thus women pay for relationships with sex?!?
With this in mind, should women not shop for relationships so blatantly?!? Considering men don't do it, and thus are generally turned off by the idea of it. Although, men do regularly subscribe to, value, respect, honor, etc relationships they are in, but they generally come about in the most organic fashions, vs “shopping” for them. So what's the most affective way to sync-up the two genders for the purpose of relationships?
This week's “Hot Topics”:
Physical Violence and Domestic Abuse (Ray Rice vs Adrian Peterson situation) Part II, Is it right to parallel sexual preference (orientation) to racial orientation? What's the difference in sexual orientation and sexual preference?
Let’s CHop it up! Tune in Friday at Midnight to 2 AM…

Day 5 and I'm frustrated!! So is this the chicken in the egg syndrome? Working through the true desire to free from any thing unlike the outcome of freedom.
Is this how change happens? You enter a program because you have a desired outcome and then you face all your own sense of lack and limitations or .. is it all random?
With 2 days left I am really feeling the energy of disatisfaction with the way things are.. wanting to be able to learn more quickly and truly process and get on with the teachings.
Does this always happen when great change is expected and witnessed?
Interesting because now I'm asking instead of telling.
