What if your mission was to "envision a Wisconsin where postsecondary education moves forward through an open exchange of ideas, the careful consideration of research, and a strong focus on the public good?"
However what if you actually tried realizing that mission during the last 4 months of Republican sponsored carpet bombing targeting the concrete ideals on which that mission rests?
This Thursday in a special episode of BustEd Pencils, Jed and Tim talk to two of the warriors from the Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE).
Noel Tomas Radomski: Director and Assciate Researcher
Jason Lee: Outreach Programs Manager
Among many topics, we will ask Noel and Jason to provide a sense of the damage that was done and how WISCAPE will continue to fight back the attack on the essential freedom to learn and focus on the public good.

If you are one of the many who think that this nation is headed to hell in a hand basket then you have also got to be willing to admit that two of the vehicles taking us there are structured politics and structured religion. If you think that either or neither of these are true then resign yourself to remaining unaware and don’t be surprised when other things began to adopt structured politics and structured religion’s brand of Americanism.
Doanld Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Now that we got that out of the way, this week we will be talking about the upcoming Republican Presidential Debates. Who will make it to the big show, and who will not make the cut and be left out in the GOP Wilderness. Chris Novembrino from Don't Worry About the Government show joins us as we talk about the many zany candidates, and the man that is Trump and why he's taking Conservative America by storm.
So join us this Sunday for all the Empty Campaign Promises we can Politically Spew into your Apathetic Little Ear Holes.

1st HOUR: Hear Bernie Sander's message to people in the "red states" when he spoke before a huge crowd in Houston, TX July 19, 2015.
Bernie Sanders is a Democratic candidate for President of the United States. In 2006, he was elected to the U.S. Senate after 16 years as Vermont’s sole congressman in the House of Representatives. Bernie is now serving his second term in the U.S. Senate after winning re-election in 2012 with 71 percent of the vote.
From his news page:
2nd HOUR: Scheduled guest entertainer Steve Robinson and host J. Michael Pryor, discuss politics.
Below J. Michael Pryor's Facebook and web site links.
Why is there so much division, hostility, strife, quarrelling and bickering in the church today? Why is it that Christians can't seem to get along with each other when spiritual, social, racial and political issues arise in the world? Why are there so many different views as to how we should see such things IN THE CHURCH?
In His final days on earth, prior to suffering on the cross, Jesus prayed to the Father that Christians be unified (Jn. 17:21). Did Jesus' request to God go unheard or unanswered? Or is there something the church must do on her part to maintain the unity and fellowship our Lord requested while here on earth?
Pastor Woods will explain why and will expose the cause AND the cure to division in the body of Christ. Taken from 1 Cor. 12:25, 27 and Gal. 3:28.

Summer is a great time of year but it certainly comes with its drawbacks and annoyances. Kids running amok, TV reruns, political buffoonery, rickety rides at county and state fairs, and the heat induced human stench and anger walking freely about, so...
Join Jay, Matt, and the IWS Radio gang as they discuss this hot, humid, dead pool of mosquitos, sunburns, and chained wallet wearing rednecks chowing down on fried cheese on a stick, known as the dog days of summer.
Along with the comedic analysis of this soul wrenching time of year by Jay and Matt, there will be plenty of awful summertime music, mocking of the 2016 Presidential candidates, and perhaps fun times with the likes of Jamie Mapleleaf, Whisperin' Sam, Back-Handed Compliment Man, Robert the Taylor, Rev. Moneymaker, and Mr. Vague.
All of that plus your phone calls at 661.244.9852, as IWS Radio presents...Summer 2015: Fried Anger On A Stick

Thursday afternoon a jury acquitted Kyler Carriker of Felony Murder. The verdict ended a fight for justice that was two years old and reached across the country with attorney, activists & journalists all pitching in, joined by a community of supporters that never wavered from the fight. It was wonderful to watch and more wonderful to be a part of. Sunday Morning we spend time with a few of the important people who waged that fight. Mike Shatz of Kansas Exposed, Meko Haze of The Daily Haze and Joe Grumbine of The Human Solution International join me to discuss the trial, the issues, the protestors and how much more work there is for everyone to do. Mike, Meko and Joe provided a window into the trial process reporting on testimony, rulings by Judge Pullman and the strategy of the Prosecuting Attorney. Along with Jennifer Winn, Kyler's mother, providing daily video updates, these three and people like Shona Banda, Kisty Watson and even Mike Harris on social media, showed the world how unity works in a fight for justice and how Kyler and marvelous attorney Sarah Swain knew at all times that there were many fighting with them. It will be an inspiring conversation. So grab a cup of coffee and join us Sunday Morning for this important discussion. Longtime Activist, Journalist, Coffee Party USA Board of Director & Radio Host, Bobby Rodrigo brings you "I Take LIBERTY With My Coffee". On Coffee Party USA Radio every Sunday Morning at 8:30AM. Advocating engagement Bobby points out the Constitution is the Rule of Law and why it should remain so. Money in Politics, the Political Party Machine, & partisan blind allegiance is on full display as he advocates against the erosion of Constitutional Protections in the name of corruption & tyranny. "If we focused on following the Constitution we would solve many of the ills of our society."
The “Off to the Races” session also featured speeches from Democrats Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley and Republican Ben Carson. The session began with Carson, followed by Clinton, O’Malley and Sanders.
Bush presented himself as someone who’s increased opportunities for African-Americans and said his intentions to overhaul education and dramatically increase economic growth would make things much better in the future.
Hillary Clinton mocked Bush for his “right to rise” s logan. She didn’t mention him by name, but repeatedly suggested that his positions and record make it a hollow slogan. “I don’t think you can credibly say everyone has a right to rise” if they can’t afford health care, if the minimum wage is too low to live on, if college is unaffordable – and, she emphasized – if someone embraces policies that deny the right to vote.
“My views are a little bit different than others,” he said. “Given the enormous crises that this country faces today – crises that may be more severe than at any other time other than the Great Depression of the 1930s – frankly it is too late for establishment policies, it is too late establishment politics.” Senate Sanders Sun Sentinel
