Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1236

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Kym Harmony Tracy from Robinson, Illinois, a returning NAASCA family member who's a survivor and activist and an Inspirational Christian speaker. "For most of my life I've have heard, 'but you seem so normal.' Well, I'm far from normal. As a matter of fact, I call my life a beautiful mess," says Kym. "And then, just when I thought I could no longer take it, when I felt I couldn't even breathe, God entered my life at just the right time." Kym reports, "I have experienced many things from most all forms of [sexual] mental, physical and emotional abuse as well as divorce and dysfunctional relationships." She was in the second grade when she was first molested. At 9 she was abused by a babysitter and at 16, still a virgin, she was date-raped by her then boyfriend. Kym says, "Since we last spoke I decided I really needed to get down to the rawness of my wounds. I felt to really feel that true pain I needed to revisit the places that the monsters changed my life for ever." She goes on, "I went back to childhood places of attacks. I spoke with my rapist. I confronted my abusive father. I gained much more insight as to my purpose and what God has planted in my heart." She concludes, This past year has been a whirlwind of emotions and some have physically tried to stop me from speaking out. I AM READY TO ROAR!"

Spiritual Telepathy - Access the Wisdom of Your Soul with Colleen Mauro

    in Spirituality

Show time: 5pm PT, 6pm MT, 7pm CT, 8pm ET

"Mindfulness and yoga are helpful for our spiritual progress, but in our out-of-balance world, our very survival requires that we go even deeper within to access ever-higher sources of wisdom and guidance," says author Colleen Mauro. She points out that many of our most celebrated creative thinkers—those people we call geniuses or visionaries—have had the ability to access the subtle realms. In their writings, they speak of the soul as the portal to a universal source of inspiration. In Colleen’s new book, Spiritual Telepathy: Ancient Techniques to Access the Wisdom of Your Soul, she introduces a more advanced form of intuitive perception that she calls "spiritual telepathy."

Colleen Mauro launched Intuition: A Magazine for Higher Potential of the Mind in 1988. Her thirty years of experience in magazine publishing includes work as a publisher, editor, advertising director, and circulation and market consultant. She has been called an archaeologist of the spirit.

Talk to literary agent, Jeanie L oiacono, and author, James Washburn

    in Spirituality

A facilitator of dreams, Jeanie Loiacono represents over sixty authors. Her forte is mystery, romance, thrillers, historical/military/southern fiction, and all quality fiction/nonfiction. Her passion is to see her authors succeed.”I am a facilitator of dreams.”

“There is nothing more rewarding than to hold one of my author’s books and know I helped bring it to fruition. I am so blessed and privileged to be able to work with some of the most talented writers in the world.

James Washburn was born and raised in rural Wisconsin, initiating an intimate rapport with the natural environment and life in the North Country. Drawing from his connections to native North American Indian and Inuit people, as well as a deep personal spiritual history in traditional Christianity, he weaves a story that transcends ethnicity and culture. He speaks to the universal desires of the human heart with simplicity and passion.

“Life is too important to spend it making a living” – has been Washburn’s mantra since youth. Choosing a three-decade career in education gave him time for extensive travel and experience within many of the most remote corners of North America. His appreciation for solitude and a self-reliant nature, however, belie his enthusiasm to promote an understanding of humanity’s interdependence and the unity of all people. Washburn’s education includes degrees in geography, health, and learning resources along with extensive scholarly study in historical theology and psychology. He is also an able photographer and experienced speaker. His current communion with Mother Earth has been a complete hike of the approximate 1,200 mile long Ice Age trail.

New York Jets Vs. The Miami Dolphins AFC match-ups that count, need to be won.

    in Football

The New York Jets (6 - 5), beat the Miami Dolphins before facing The New York Giants and OBJ. Looking like the team that appeared in the first four games of the season, they did just that. The #AFC Wildcard picture remains in focus for the time being.

The Jets have set a new Franchise Record for Defense , only allowing the Dolphins a total of 12 rushing yards as the Jets Sweep the Series.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick Threw for 4 Touchdowns, no interceptions. The Jets came together as a Team in this win.

Devin Smith is out of the Dog house with two great plays, one for his first #NFL Touchdown.

Jeremy Kerely, while again not used as a Wide Reciever , put up respectable return game numbers. The secondary, minus Revis allowed far too many passing yards.

It was Ring of Honor week with SBIII Great as Matt Snell and Emerson Boozer inducted. Boozer was surrounded on the field by former members of the Sack Exchange as Matt Snell honored his vow not to attend.

Join us, by calling in or listen to the shows archived episodes anytime, as James Boyd (@OneJetDrive) and Herb LaLanne (@thakingofqueens)  continue on our path of trying to discern just what this team is this season and where it will end up by seasons end.

    Right vs Wrong: Relatively Speaking

    in Spirituality

Have you ever thought what/who determines character or proper behavior? Truly, what is right and wrong and who says so? Turns out that many spiritual folks would answer that it is relative to the world we live in. We call this moral relativity: behavior that is acceptable or non-acceptable is relative. However, many religions teach there are specific moral norms that apply to all persons in all places at all times. Tune in this week as Lisa Jones and discuss absolute moral norms versus moral relativity. Does one cancel out the other? Maybe its preference vs moral, what do you think?
