SORT BY Relevancy
We review Movies/Politics/Sports/Entertainment/Pop Culture..even Pro Wrestling and MMA!
There is a lot of stuff out there in the world that we can chat about and we will! "There is nothing to fear but fear itself!". Which is why we are aiming to do what we will and what we want with whatever topic! All is fair game on this show! We try to keep it clean and friendly however,at times it can be a wild ride! Call in or just listen to rants and discussions about all that's happening in most forms of media such as entertainment, pop culture, sports, politics, economics and even pro wrestling and MMA!
What are women made of? Men and women are learning about themselves from the wrong sources: TV, the internet, friends, and yes, P0rn! The P0rn Slayer discussed what happens when fantasy collides with your reality.
The P0rn Slayer is a bold and transparent father teaching his children about freedom from sexual addiction, perversions and p0rnography.
What does the internet, TV, the music industry, movies, and the news media all have in common? They all teach our children and teach us how we're supposed to relate with each other and ourselves sexually. The church? ...hmmm, not so much.
Real Talk is here.
There is no disputing statistics. They are gathered from events, not "scenarios". They are made up of real people, real lives, real deaths. The steady decline of mental health facilities, mental health workers and mental health budgets has left far too many outside the help they need. One out of three people will experience some sort of mental health issue in their lives. Do you think that adequate services should be available for these episodes? Or do you agree with the "modern" methods of eliminating services and pretending the problem doesn't exist? Media, and by reflection the general public, tend to marginalize people who don't fit the "norm", whatever the hell that is. What if it is your loved one, your friend, yourself that needs the help required to regain your direction and focus?
Kelly Thomas. Martin Hall. Ashley Smith. Jeffrey Towe. Teresa Sheehan. Barbara Stewart. James Popkowski. Bartolo Ford. Thousands more like them. Who are these people? They are people who needed help but none was available. They were left to deal with police. We know how police deal with "non-compliance". Most of the time, it is "Obey or Die". But thankfully, not all.
If law enforcement is forced to become front-line mental health workers, why are they not being instructed how to deal with these circumstances? CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) is slowly becoming the standard. Budget restraints are the excuse being used to delay and deny it. What has to change to help save lives and prevent social chaos from protests?
Guest host @canadianglen is joined by @Firec0re to examine this issue. The personal experiences of @Firec0re motivate her to be involved in this societal void to help correct it. Join us, listen, chat, call in. The final Saturday episode of Rebelution Radio for 2014 looks to take the warmth of the holiday season and talk about a big problem, in a positive way.
Are some in the black community playing the blame game when in fact we should be blaming ourselves.
Ferguson and Staten Island incidents prove racism. Brown was far from a model citizen. He pilfered cigars from a convenience store and then bullied the proprietor when he tried to stop him. Then, he and a friend walked down the middle of the street, a stupid and dangerous practice. Officer Wilson asked him to use the sidewalk because of the situation, not because Brown was trolling innocently along while being black as the media would have one believe. Instead of complying, Brown escalated the situation by back-talking. I agree the number of shots fired sounds excessive, but a grand jury after reviewing all the evidence found otherwise. Staten Island, There was excessive force, was not a racial thing either as the victim’s own daughter so stated. Why do we want to make every cop-suspect into a racial event? There is a target on every young black man’s back indeed! Maybe if we didn’t commit crimes out of proportion to other people in society, the police wouldn’t view us with such suspicion. Why don’t we own the fact that some of us need to change our behavior in order to gain respect. Racism does exist but so does the lack of respect for our representation in public.
This story was written on the internet. I thought it pointed out some problems we have in our community. So I took it and made it into how I felt it should have been written. So here is the link to the oringnal story. http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/article/20141217/Opinion/141216655/?Start=2#sthash.z6EKlKEK.dpuf

My Guest Tonight On The Literary Corner is none other than TRANSGENDER Author Toni Newman of I RISE-THE TRANSFORMATION OF TONI NEWMAN A MEMOIR. This will be a very memorable show, Don’t Miss It. I Rise – The Transformation of Toni Newman, the first memoir written in America by a member of the African American transgender community. It is gut-wrenchingly honest, factually supported, and well written.
During this journey Ms. Newman tended to the fetish fantasies of Hollywood’s A-list, I Rise has been turned into Feature film: Heart of a Woman with a stellar cast. Co-Screenwriter/Producer TONI NEWMAN is a 1985 graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in sociology. Toni Newman has been a trans-activist for a number of years.
I’m extremely excited about this interview and I look forward to delving into the life of Ms. Toni Newman, who by the way met and conversed with Ms. Maya Angelou, who was the inspiration for the title of her Memoir. Tune in on Saturday December 27, 2014 from 9-11 PM EST. Call in 347-884-8924 Press 1 to speak with the guest or the host or listen from your computer @http://tobtr.com/s/7217651
In preparation of our upcoming interviews with Sioux Oliva, author of the new book, Dr. Sadler and The Urantia Book, we are replaying the show in which Paula Thompson and Christilyn Biek-Larson interviewed author and long-time student of The Urantia Book, Larry Mullins, on his book entitled, A History of The Urantia Papers; now in its 2nd edition.
We are taking a holiday break. This show is an archived REPRISE edition of The Cosmic Citizen. Please do not call in.
This show explores in depth issues concerning the Urantia Book's origins. Larry also poses and answers caller's questions such as:
Dr. Meredith Sprunger thought The Urantia Book was a hoax when he first saw it. What changed his mind? What did Dr. Sprunger and his team of 11 ministers discover when they visited 533?
What part did Dr. Lena Sadler play in the revelation? How did the first contact with celestial beings happen? What did Dr. Sadler learn when he hypnotized the sleeping subject? How did the forum get started? How did the forum get involved in the process? What did the Sadlers do that triggered the first written manuscript?
What prompted Dr. Sadler to test the celestial beings who were talking through the sleeping subject with difficult questions?
Does anyone really know how the Urantia Papers were materialized? Why was the original written manuscript destroyed? Why were the original typed manuscripts destroyed after the type was set for the Urantia Book?
Why did the revelators use so much human information?
When did the Jesus Papers come through? How?
Why were the revelators displeased with the forum?
Was The Urantia Book intended for a later time? When?
When was permission given to publish the UB?
Showtime is 12:00 PM Eastern Time; 9:00 AM Pacific Time.
This is the last episode with Picture Perfect Tommy Valentine as the Co-host of Champion Talk. The round table is letting him know how they feel as they tear into Valentine one last time.
