The Season of Life: It's Winter

    in Christianity

I love Spring! It is my favorite season! But this season I have a runny eye and nose...and I don't even have allergies! The change in season and my new and coming symptoms has led me to this month's series. The Seasons of life! Just like natural seasons change from Winter to Fall, our spiritual seasons change. It gives us time to grow and be made new. Season transitions give us time to start over, be delivered, be refreshed! Tonight, my Mom brings us in as she discusses the season of Winter. Talk with you then!

    my name is tammi joyner

i am your host for the show

today we would like to bring to you a serious topic about winter driving

we would like to offer you winter driving tips for teens

    www.familycircle.com says:

Know when to call it quits.

Emphasize to your teen that there are times when you have to play it safe and pull over. Talk about a weather emergency game plan to keep him or her prepared in case of conditions that make it unsafe to drive. "The big three things to avoid are freezing rain, black ice and whiteout snowstorms," says Bolio. He recommends keeping the car stocked with essentials like extra blankets, a phone charger and food in case someone gets stuck on the side of the road for several hours.

Corrine De Winter: Waking Up the Sensitive Soul

    in Paranormal

Join Host Elizabeth Anglin and Guest Corrine De Winter as they talk about the Journey of the Sensitive Soul, the subject of Corrine's latest book "The Sensitive Soul's Guide to Waking Up: An Interactive Journaling Into Your Life's Purpose."

Corrine De Winter is a Bram Stoker Award winning Poet and author who has won numerous awards for her writing from the New York Quarterly, Triton College of Arts & Sciences, & The Rhysling Science Fiction Award.

Corrine writes poetry that bridges the worlds between the known, the unknown, the intimate, and the mysteriously removed. Her poem "The Right Place"  describes an intimate relationship in words analogous to the uncertainty and danger of a paranormal event:

You question if you’re in the right place- next to me.

    I tell you you’re like a ghost,

half in and half out of my world,

    like that UFO incident

where men were fused to the side of a boat- half their bodies

buried in some unknown space of the structure.

I remember an interview with a witness-

he said there was nothing he could do,

so he brought one of the guys a pack of cigarettes

She won the Bram Stoker Award in 2005 for her collection “The Women At The Funeral.” Five of her collections have been Stoker Nominated. A Naturalist, Philanthropist, Paranormal expert, Artist, and the founder of “Small World Fund For Children ,” De Winter lives between this world and the next.

You can find out more about Corrine at  http://corrinedewinter.com/

and partake of her excellent purple plates at:  http://www.purpleplates.com
