Suspense Radio is back with another action packed show. 90 minutes and three author interviews await you.
First up we have James Ziskin, then we have Allen Eskens, finished up with Mark Pryor.
James Ziskin: Stone Cold Dead
December 21, 1960, the shortest day of the year: Fifteen-year-old Darleen Hicks slips away from her school bus as it idles in the junior-high parking lot, waiting to depart. Moments later the bus rumbles away without her, and she is never seen again.
Allen Eskens: The Life we Bury
College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same.
Mark Pryor: Hollow Man
Dominic is a prosecutor, a musician, and an Englishman living in Texas. He's also a psychopath. His main goal is to hide his condition and lead a seemingly normal life in hopes to pay off his debts and become a full-time musician in Austin's club scene. But on one lousy day his carefully-controlled world starts to shatter: he's demoted at work and accused of stealing a fellow musician's song.
He also meets a beautiful woman in a lime green dress--perhaps the biggest threat to his safety of all. At her urging, Dominic hatches a plan to steal a van he knows will be filled with cash. He picks two friends as accomplices, insisting on no guns and no violence. But a security guard catches them in the act and simple theft turns into capital murder.
It's wedding season, and thousands of people are getting ready for that special day--a significant number of whom will one wish it never happened! A dream wedding is cold comfort in a nightmare marriage, and getting married without the foundation of a healthy relationship is a recipe for disaster--with results far worst than being left at the altar. We'll discuss three negative post-weddiing outcomes of unhealthy relationships, to illustrate that wedding planning is no substitute for MARRIAGE planning. If you're about to get married (or looking to be), DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW.
