Simone McKelvey talks with us today about how life can be a winding road with challenges that can, if we allow it, lead us to some great adventures. Simone's belief is that when a dream seems to die, it is tempting to allow ourselves to die with it. While walking that winding road is not easy, there are adventures to be had if we choose to get up and continue living. Will this be you? It is true what Proverbs says: "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life" (Proverbs 13:12)

Life is your car and only you can take the driver’s seat. If you don’t grab the steering wheel and take control, you’re just careening blindly towards death with nobody manning the vehicle. So just how do you quit your job and travel on nothing put a wish and a prayer? Is it possible? YES!

THE ROAD HAWGS RADIO NETWORK - CLASSIC CHROME / THE FASTEST NIMBUS IN THE WORLD: LARS NIELSEN
Special Guests: Lars Nielsen, Builder, Bonneville Salt Flats Competitor
For every motorcycle and car enthusiast, the Bonneville Salt Flats hold a special place near and dear to our hearts. The Salt Flats are the home of speed; every year, motorheads from all over the world travel to the state of Utah in an attempt to push their machines and themselves to the limit. Speed is the name of the game, and some of the most incredible pieces of engineering in the world are in attendance to play that game. This week on Classic Chrome, be sure to tune in as we interview our first international guest. Joining us this week from Denmark is Mr. Lars Nielsen, who is in the process of building what is undoubtedly going to be the world’s fastest Nimbus motorcycle. Nimbus motorcycles were produced by the Danish firm Fisker and Nielsen from 1919 until 1960. These machines were powered by a 749cc, single overhead cam, inline four cylinder engine that produced between 18-22 horsepower, hooked up to a three speed transmission with shaft final drive. A stock Nimbus is capable of cruising at 55 mph with a short top speed burst of 75 mph; Lars is in the process of building a rip-roaring example which he will be campaigning at Bonneville this year. Lars’ Nimbus is set into a custom, low-slung frame and the motor comes complete with a supercharger. No matter how fast his machine goes, it will likely become the fastest example of the Danish four cylinder in the world.
This will be the first in a series of shows featuring exciting, innovative and new motorcycle safety products, found while doing research for my Tuesday night News & Information show The FREE ROAD RADIO SHOW. This week I will be sharing with you two very different products, one that helps in the prevention of accidents and the other helps if there has been.
Disclaimer: I am not a part of these companies and do not have any interest in them, other to help make motorcycling safer for everybody. And if my efforts, somehow in some way, helps an entrepreneur achieve their goals then even better.

EXPOSING POLITICAL TRUTHS AND REDEFINING CONSERVATISM. The Sons of Lincoln believe the United States is heading down a very dangerous path. Our culture is rotting, our economy is breaking, national debt is through the roof, radical Islam is at war with us and we are navigating down a road to socialism. We have a deep love for our country, and are loyal to the framework of the constitution. We value our natural born freedoms and are not willing to sit on the sidelines and watch them deteriorate. You, like us, are upset with the leadership being vetted and put into our nations White House. With the 58th quadrennial Presidential election coming in November of 2016, the time to stand up is now. The time for whispers in our personal circles has come to an end. We are on the threshold of a revolution. Whether we do something or not this country is on the brink of change. Tune in and listen to Russ Fine, Rob North and Bernie North discuss the most important issues facing America.
Every time I hear a parent brag that her child is her best friend, I cringe and think, “Well, that’s too bad.” The job description of parent is mighty long—nurturer, teacher, advisor, consultant, guide, spotter, disciplinarian, consoler, cheerleader. But I am quite sure “friend” is not on the list. I fully believe that you really like your child, that there are times when you get along like peas and carrots, that you say you can read each other’s minds. But your child, whether young or old, needs you to be her parent. She has enough friends, and so do you. I know that you don’t get to spend much time with your child; both of your schedules are packed 24/7. So you want what little time you have together to be pleasant. I know it’s just easier to say yes, and everyone will be happy…for the moment.
Children are not like self-basting turkeys; they just can’t grow themselves. Children will seek all the good stuff they can get—be it extra tv time, cookies from the platter, or minutes at the mall. And they count on you to stop them, to rein them back in. It is their job to test the limits; it is your job to stop them. And as children get older, more than ever they rely on you to be their brakes, especially when faced with peer pressure. “No, my dad will kill me if I get home after curfew.” Your child needs to know that you love her so much that you will tolerate her explosive protest when you lay down the law and you will not change your mind because of it. Nothing can be more important to you than her well being, her safety, and her learning the rules of the road.
