Since early childhood, William David Spencer has been in love with books and, particularly with mysteries and adventure stories. Captivated as a small child by the ingenious tales of Joe Pooh, Teddy Bear Detective, spun out by his endlessly inventive older sister, the young boy was left bereft of sister and story at her untimely death when he was only six years old. Books, poems, music and lyrics were his solace and he has been deeply immersed in creating them ever since.
Born and reared in urban central New Jersey, his life was changed by two events; his encounter with Jesus through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship after a thought-provoking hospitalization in the summer between his final year in high school and first year in college, due to cutting too much weight as co-captain of his high school wrestling team; and the impact of a riot in his birth city, Plainfield, N.J., during the racial upheavals in the late 1960s. The second event propelled him into a lifetime of urban ministry taking the healing message he’d learned from the first event to the streets of Plainfield, then to Newark, Philadelphia, back to Newark/New York/Jersey City, Trenton, Louisville, Kentucky, and today to Boston, where he trains ministers, as professor of theology and the arts, with Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Center for Urban Ministerial Education. Along the way he played in a band during the Jesus Movement, performing at coffee houses and festivals, helped establish a school for store front pastors, planted a storefront church he continues to co-pastor, helped create an academic journal and a book line and has had many adventures himself in city ministry.
Life's Issues Radio with Host Lloyd Rosen with his guest Thomas Strawser & Krista Gorman:
Thomas Strawser is an international engineer with a master’s degree in psychology. Divorce, alcoholism, and numerous losses in his life led him to seek practical solutions to his despair. Combining his spirituality and knowledge of psychology with his engineering know-how, Thomas discovered profound happiness and peace of mind through the process he calls Spiritual Engineering. This process carried him through the loss of eight siblings, his mother, a nineteen-year daughter, and his wife to cancer. It provided practical tools that kept him free of worry and fear when a rare condition destroyed his corneas and specialists thought he would never recover his vision. Thomas has published articles in Grief magazine, New Leaf magazine, The Spiritual Fellowship Journal, and Guidepost.
Krista Gorman - I am a Physician Assistant practicing in Emergency Medicine. Fourteen years ago and only three weeks after graduating from my PA training program I suffered cardiopulmonary arrest during labor with my daughter. For eight minutes I was without a detectable heart beat and experienced the afterlife during that time. I returned to share my experience, but was too fearful to do so and for many years was very unhappy and discontent. It wasn't until the serious illness of my husband forced me to start breaking down the walls I'd built around me and begin to share the love I knew I was and that we all are. I wrote my book "I Died And Learned How To Live" where I share my experience and Twelve Principles For Daily Living that I arrived at as a result of what I experienced in the afterlife. They were and are the key to my happiness. I am here to share what saved my life with others who are suffering and don't know where to turn.

The Falcon Project is a large scale observation and research operation founded by William Barnes. William envisioned an operation that would allow for both the observation and tracking of an elusive animal he first encountered in 1997. There are hundreds of reports every year from people who claimed to have also encountered the same elusive animal, an animal most commonly referred to as sasquatch.
Sasquatch, also known as Bigfoot, is the name given to an elusive, and as yet unrecognized hominoid species, that primarily inhabits the moist forests and bottoms of North America. They are usually described as being large, hairy, bipedal humanoids. The word sasquatch is an anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq’ets, meaning the “wild man of the woods.”
In the summer of 1997, William had a close encounter with a sasquatch when one entered his campsite along the South Fork of the Greenhorn River in Nevada County, California. The details of his encounter can be found on the Falcon project website. Because of this experience, William first began to conceptualize what would ultimately become The Falcon Project. Through years of correspondence with engineers about airship technology and advances in thermal camera technology, The Falcon Project eventually took shape.
