It's been an interesting year for the Georgia wrestling scene, largely because of the changes happening at Anarchy Wrestling. Following last weekend's Hostile Environment event, rumors are swirling once again about the future of Anarchy. We'll be addressing those rumors in the coming weeks on Georgia Wrestling Now, but this week we have other topics to discuss as Wrestling with Pop Culture's Jonathan Williams and Southern Fried Championship Wrestling owner Charles Anschutz welcome two exciting guests. After being the man who obtained the submission victory for Team Anarchy over Team Platinum in the main event WarGames match at Hostile Environment, "The Lethal Dose" Stryknyn returns to GWN to discuss upcoming matches at Dragon Con Wrestling, Alternative Pro Wrestling and elsewhere. Then we talk to National Wrestling Alliance Continental Wrestling Champion "The Morning Star" William Huckaby, who returns to Georgia for Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment on Aug. 30. We also discuss WWE's SummerSlam, NXT TakeOver, Ring of Honor's Reloaded Tour and more, with additional commentary by Georgia Wrestling History's Larry Goodman.
Join the Ron and Don Show tonight as we welcome Mr. Jim Clingman a long time watchdog of his local and national NAACP to discuss with us the background behind Federal Judge Susan J. Dlott , who has subpoenaed the National NAACP President Cornell William Brooks and the National NAACP Legal Counsel. This will be a wake up call for black America.
We also cover the tragic shooting of two reporters and talk about the motivation behind this event. Then we talk about Minnesota's version of Black Lives Matter and much more. The phone lines will be open. Don't miss this program.
Teachers can be heroes. They spend time with kids every day and get to see them under different circumstances, often seeing and hearing what parents never do. Meet fictional high school English teacher, William Bachman, who teaches at Atlantis High School. He is the central character in the series of Jersey Shore thrillers which include Heartless Cruelty and Laid So Low. The main character becomes a reluctant sleuth, and there are plenty of disturbing mysteries to be solved as the books delve into the dark side of the Jersey Shore with issues including sex trafficking, political corruption, and child abuse. Richard Goffman has written a series of fast paced books with engaging characters and the hero is the English teacher. It might come as no surprise that Goffman spent the 1970s teaching English in Long Branch, NJ at the high school and junior high, and these days he’s a professor of writing at Montclair State University. The author based the fictional town Atlantis on Long Branch, NJ and says, “That town had beauty and ugliness, it had familiarity and magical strangeness, and it had enough racial, ethnic and economic diversity to yield no end of characters.” The books are must reads for Jersey Shore fans! Richard Goffman has written textbooks, stories, poetry, plays, screenplays and numerous articles. After the interview, check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

Professor William Lazonick explains how companies have turned from employment security, how corporate leadership structures are hurting the entire economy, what are stock buy backs, how stock buy backs are different from traditional stock purchasing, how Ronald Reagan deregulated the stock market, why the SEC can’t monitor buybacks, why stock rewards have become more and more popular, the similarity between stock buybacks and pump and dump schemes, how these schemes keep wages down, the real story behind executive pay, why Reagan economic policies failed to put money in the REAL economy, why real wages used to track productivity growth, and why it doesn't do so anymore.
Although she only played Batgirl for one season (the final season) on Batman that role defined Yvonne Craig; But she was so much more. Sharing the screen with legends like Bing Crosby and William Shatner ;) she was an Orion Slave Girl in the Star Trek Episode For Whom Gods Destory. Tonight's show is a tribute to this beautiful, multitalented actress. And advocate for equal pay for equal work. I remember seeing this commerical when it orginally aired back in the early 70s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n00xZ_mKQgk. See if you can spot what's missing..
