In this episode we will focus once again on the seeker-friendly movement and it's popular pastors. We will talk about what leaders are doing and why it does not line up with Scripture. We will discuss Steven Furtick, Ed Young Jr,, Perry Noble, and Craig Groeschel, and their respective churches, and well known things from each one.
RG Ingersoll continues the history lesson, as Motown Records was in the process of changing from a record base company to a motion picture production company, the powers that be were fighting among themselves for control at the top. Gwendolyn Gordy was no exception, as she was the vice president and wrote ALL the checks. The question was why she would finance and produce recordings for Hotrax, Platinum Sound and D-Town Records? Barney Ales, the "new boy" at the top of Motown Records, systematically began to strip Ms. Gordy of her powers and push the family members out of the controlling seats.
Aren't you the least bit curious? Of course. It's a fraternity 300 years old and going. No frat party. No male testosterone and alcohol driven embarrassment to themselves. But august; philanthropic. Authentic and dignified. Striving with piety answerable to common sense; endorsing equality and liberty of humanity; mystery; private and secret to protect it from populist verdicts; signs of greetings known to few; real.
Even we wonder how and why, don't you? What is it that a man finds in masonry that he can't find anywhere else? Not fame or fortune. Leadership becomes service to mankind but how does that endure?
If you wonder what it is, the best I can tell you is that it is a feeling. The one we experience when truth finds us. Not being smarter; not hubris, not arrogant or smug. When a person 'sees' what others do not, in a world so frightened and mistrustful, those truths are a weighty responsibility. That is what we call humility. Our task is to find balance in life and live in that state and the universe unfolds.
When a person has matured enough to take herself or himself seriously, when he understands himself, masonry opens the mind, the spirit, the heart. Every ending is the beginning of something next.
When dealing with controversial subjects, what can reasoning give us and how does prejudice work against truth finding? How do we know we know something; what is certainty and what is not?
Why good friends are so important
A lot of research has been done looking into the benefits of friendship, and the research has found exactly what you might expect. It turns out that the better quality relationships you have; the more likely you are to be happy. Therefore it’s good for your happiness to be a great friend to someone and to have a group of good friends supporting you. But it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what makes a good friend.
Signs of a good friend
Friends will come and go in your life, but more important than how long a friendship lasts, is that a good friend will love you for who you are. The way you can tell the sign of a good friend is by looking at the actions they take –big and small – that show they care.
Some common signs of a good friend include
someone who will support you no matter what
someone you can trust and who won’t judge you
someone who won’t put you down or deliberately hurt your feelings
someone who is kind and has respect for you
someone who will love you because they choose to, not because they feel like they should
someone whose company you enjoy
being trustworthy and willing to tell you the truth, even when it’s hard
someone who can laugh when you do
someone who is willing to stick around when things get tough
someone who makes you smile
someone who is there to listen
someone who will cry when you cry.

Before anyone knocks me or supports me on being on anyone's side, I'm just going to offer factual things about this man, that we all met way back when, during the GASH/PODCAST FROM HELL days, and when horror was arguably better.
Why? I don't like bullying, making fun, and pushing people down, to where they have to give up on things they love doing, especially if that is their hobby, love, and maybe even bread & butter. I feel bad, and ultimately it's not right to reduce anyone to such positions, no matter the bullshit behind it.
It hurts me to see people who stood for something good, noble, virtuous, and absolutely groundbreakingly genius, at least in its foundation, much like the ideas were initially right with EXORCIST 2: THE HERETIC,...and much like that movie, see something unravel and turn into a complete and utter disaster in the end. Sadly, some people who have a lot of talent and a lot to offer, suffer. They suffer due to misunderstandings and things blown out of proportion.
Such is the case with horror legend and icon, William Pattison aka Eric Morse.
We don't talk, and we're not besties, but that does NOT mean that I cannot feel for the guy, and nobody deserves to be picked on, bullied, and shunned, left to the mercy of the world (which it has none).
During unfortunate times, I want to offer that light. This show is that light, and hopefully to help the critics realize what a beautiful talented individual exists, underneath all the misunderstanding.
This also brings up the voluptuous, grand, big former goddess of horror that was truly, truly on her way up until something VERY BAD happened, and I feel terribly for her too.
--callers are welcome but NOBODY that may attack the guy or his reputation. (no drama)
