The Church Lies- Let's Talk Truth About The Church

    in The Bible

Unhealthy and destructive teaching can enter the church in various ways. Sometimes a biblical truth is taught to the exclusion of other biblical truths, producing a dangerous imbalance. At other times a biblical truth is taught in an exaggerated way, often going beyond what Scripture actually says, and in the end this does more harm than good. Many times clear, biblical warnings are ignored or reinterpreted so radically that they lose all impact or effect, leaving people vulnerable and exposed.

Paul warned that the “time will come when [believers] will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (2 Tim. 4:3-4). Today’s church in America, as a whole, is dangerously close to turning aside to such fables. Millions have already succumbed to these false teachings. Before we lose any more souls, it’s crucial that we identify what I believe are the seven greatest lies that have infiltrated the church and have led to a whiteout of error.

    BUD ROGERS

    in Music

Bud Rogers interest in music started at a very early age, he was singing and writing tunes by the age of 7 yrs old with his brother. As he got older he started a rock band, Sphynx,  with a friend, started writing more music, and playing gigs around London. The band had some change up of players and eventually changed the band name to Big Brother with a new sound. After a year of struggling the band broke up.    Bud missed the music and contacted one of his bandmates from Big Brother and they formed The Cut. They recorded the album "Emotional Suicide" and the opening track "Keep Your Demon Down" on Radio One. Eventually Bud needed to learn more about music so he went back to school. After completing his music degree he went on to teach music and helped to open a Rock School in England.   Fast forward Bud has done quite a bit in many different bands and decided to venture out as a solo artist. He released "Whiteout" which garnered him a few internet radio awards, a Twirl Radio Award for "Male Vocalist of the Year" and from Take 2 Radio Indie Awards, voted by the listeners, he won for "Album of the Year" and "Acoustic Artist of the Year" for his acoustic videos.    Most recently Bud released an EP "Setting Sun" which crosses a spectrum of genres, showcasing Bud's versatility! Bud plays all instruments, wrote all the songs, and produced the EP himself!    Take 2 Radio Music chats with Bud on May 1st at 3pm EDT

9, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Whiteout, Sorority Row, World's Greatest Dad

    in Film

This week, Film Geek Central tackles five more new releases for the fall season.

First up is one of Scott's most awaited films of the year, the animated sci-fi adventure 9. After humanity is wiped out, a small group of stiched-together dolls fight against the machines that wiped them out.

Tyler Perry returns as Madea in I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF. Based on one of the most popular Madea plays, this one co-stars Taraji P. Henson, Adam Rodriguez, Mary G. Blige and Gladys Knight.

Kate Beckinsale investigates a murder in the antarctic and finds otherworldly evidence in WHITEOUT, based on the acclaimed graphic novel.

SORORITY ROW is a sort-of remake to the obscure 1980s slasher, HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW. This one promises pure candy for the horror fan with lots of gore and skin.

Robin Williams stars as the WORLD'S GREATEST DAD. Actually, the title is meant to be ironic in this surprisingly dark comedy from comedian-turned-director Bob Golthwait.

All this plus film news and our DVD Pick of the Week! Hope to see you there, Film Geeks!
