Widens Dorsainville, also known as Pkolo “The Producer”, has been creating music since he was a child. “Creating has always been a part of me” says Pkolo, “I remember sitting at my table watching my Aunt Saundra blogging about music while she was studying to become a doctor”. Through experiences like this, he realized that music was a universal language that affected all people, whether they were in the industry, studying in school, or living on the street. Recognizing music’s broad appeal, Pkolo was inspired to channel his creativity through the medium of music, and he was determined to create that which would strongly affect those around him. In the year 1999, Pkolo relocated to New Jersey after separating from his family, who resided in Haiti. He found himself surrounded with various cultures and new experiences that he had never been exposed to. Curious and enthusiastic, he delved into these new experiences with an open mind. It was during this time that he discovered his true love; Hip Hop music. “I had always listened to hip hop but never really paid much attention to it. Then one day Hot 97 had put on this one song, (Quiet Storm by Mobb Deep), and I was immediately hooked” recalls Pkolo. Hip hop had found Pkolo. Pkolo had found his lifes work
Hard Hits returns for a Friday overnight into Saturday. Hosted by Derek Flex Felix, we return to discuss lots of sports stuff. Joined by cohost John "JPG" Giagnorio and other personalities Justin "JNF" Felix, Brian "Retirement" Sanborn, Dan Wheeler and Rob "Retirement" Davis, among the big topics on the table:
1.Derek's Heat stave off elimination against Dan's Hornets
2.Hawkay-Rangers eliminated. Islanders takeover. Plus the wild wild west. Can Sanborn's Sharks stay hot?
3.Baseball-the Yankees again were David Ortiz' bitch. His homer off Betances gives Boston the first game. JPG's Cubs stay on fire with a 6-1 trouncing of Colin's tanking Braves to improve to 17-5. The Mets destroy Father Felix's Giants.
4.NFL Draft-the first 2 days are in the books. How did the Giants make out? Why does Jerry Reese have a job? Who are the big winners and losers so far? A draft dominated by Ohio State (7 players taken).
Whether ripped from the pages of your favorite book or discovered on the Silver Screen, we have all found ourselves obsessing about fictional characters.
For the past two decades, fans have obsessed about Jamie Fraser, Scottish Warrior, and hero of their favorite book and television series, Outlander.
Our guest this week, KC Dyer, decided to write a book about a blogger who sets off to find the drool worthy, fictional Scotsman that stole her heart.
Her romantic comedy, Finding Fraser, has been hailed as this summer’s “kilty pleasure!”
She is also the author of Facing Fire, A Walk Through a Window, Ms. Zephyr’s Notebook and Shades of Red.
So join us this Friday at 10PM EST on DTM Wicked Radio and find out if K. C.’s fictional Scotsman had a tilt in his kilt!
On this weekly program, we take a look back at the history of Woodhaven, Queens - at the same time we look at the current events of the day. And quite often, we find they are relevant to each other. From the battles for more police and against changes to roads and crime -- we find that things haven't changed as much as we think they have! Tune in LIVEFriday Nights at 10 PM and if you have any comments or questions during the live broadcast, call (646) 378-1612 during the show (private calls will not be answered).
The Woodhaven Historians is brought to you courtesy of the Woodhaven Cultural & Historical Society.
Twice a month, long time Friday host Kevin Phillips, is on leave until July. We wish he and his co-host Marvelous Maggie, smooth sailing and well wishes in their time away! Kevin has been most recently doing shows on the 1, 3, 5th Friday ... And Isis Sarran-Pagan has been artfully acting as the 2nd & 4th Friday Host since last fall. Isis has graciously volunteered to step in as temporary host every Friday! If you've met her, you'll love to hear more of her; if you haven't met her yet, this is a great time on Friday nights!
This arrangement will begin in May. You guessed it. That means tonight was open as the last Friday of April! Regular weekly Wednesday night host, Kim Justus, will be sitting in the first chair. A topic or guest may be revealed, or things will unfold as they will. Join me and take your chances. :)
We are looking for a replacement host for an empty slot or two. This would be a great night to call in with why you should be reviewed by the committee for a host slot. Informal audition of sharing your idea for a great show, why you are a good candidate right now. Sometimes timing and equipment don't allow for this opportunity, but change happens .. And we're always interested in good candidates, be it now or down the road.
Hope to have you join me to ring in the weekend!!
Bruce Gold has never been to The Old City of Jerusalem, the Himalaya’s, Machu Picchu, or any other exotic location where miracles are thought to take place. He doesn’t dress in Tribal Robes and call himself any other name than the one he came into this world with. He was born and raised, and realized his gift of healing in his hometown, of Los Angeles, California. Bruce’s gift, as a Conduit for the Transference of Positive Healing Energies, came as a result of a conscious near death experience, which occurred while he was driving alone on a crowded Los Angeles Freeway in May of 2002. The thing he is most sure of today, is that he was most definitely not alone during that fateful ride.He has been sharing his gift of healing from the moment he first recognized it. He has a non-invasive technique of energy transference, that reaches his recipients almost immediately. He has worked successfully on both Human Beings and Animals. Bruce’s modality has been used both in person, as well as over the phone sessions for distance healing. Bruce makes it clear to his client’s that they are the Healers, and he is there strictly as an intermediary, bringing back to them the well of their own energies. His otherness as he refers to it, lasted most of his adult life. He had fallen into a deep depression which appeared early on, and was seriously misdiagnosed, and mistreated with improper medications that could have led him to ending his own life. Living in a walking coma for over twelve years, he literally watched every dream he ever had vanish before his eyes...For more information and to make an appointment call: 310-475-2093.
