The Tigers offense finaly comes through producing 5 runs in the 5th inning off of White Sox starting pitcher Johnny Danks, and David Price goes the distance fanning 11 batters, 7 of them consecutively through the middle innings. As seen on your local FOX television affiliate, Tigers win 7-1 to snap their 8-game losing streak and hang on to their third-place spot in the American League Central Division. Alfredo Simon takes the hill against Jeff Samardzija tomorrow at 2:10 on FOX Sports Detroit.

We recap the middle game of the 3-game series between the Tigers and Chicago White Sox. Alfredo Simon was scheduled to start on the pitcher's mound against Chris Sale. Their offense really needs to pick up some steam.
The Grand Rapids Griffins take a 1-0 series lead over the Rockford Ice Hogs with a 5-3 win at Van Andel Arena. Teemu Pulkkinen scored a hat trick.
I allow my co-host Ed Smith himself share his thoughts on the Floyd mayweather/Manny Pacquiao boxing fight last Saturday. Mayweather offers Pacquiao a rematch for next year.
Mayweather was sued for $20 million by his mother of his 3 children in defamation lawsuit yesterday.
The Tigers pick up a 6-4 win over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium to split the series and reclaim first place in the American League Central Division over KC by a half game. Anibal Sanchez picked up the win but not before the 7th and 8th innings made the game very interesting, and Joakim Soria picked up his 10th save out of his 10th save opportunity. Miguel Cabrera (2-run home run) and Alex Avila drove in 5 of the 6 runs scored for the Tigers, and the other run was scored on an error.
I preview the Tigers/White Sox series at U.S. Cellular Field in Chiago.
Did the Tigers get swept by the worst team in the American League Central Division, the Chicago White Sox? Or did they salvage one from that 3-game series. Ed Smith and I break it down. We also preview Round 2 between the Tigers and Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park.
Plus, I find the answer with research to why the FOX Sports Girls were canceled from the television screen and the social networking system. I will still remember my moments with all of the 6 full-time FOX Sports Detroit Girls because I love them all dearly.
With co-host Ed Smith.
Tigers start a 3-game series with the White Sox in Chicago.
The Lions are among 7 NFL teams interested in undrafted LSU offensive lineman La'el Collins if he's cleared in his murder inquiry.
Red Wings executive Jim Devellano considers Anthony Mantha's first pro season "very, very, very disappointing", and Mantha obviously agrees with him but still says he can play better than that. He's going nowhere.
The Philadelphia Flyers "really want" Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock to coach them.
The Boston Celtics will pursue Pistons forward Greg Monroe.
