Join Scott as we discuss the importance of accepting people where they are in life. Many times we try to change other people because it will be better for our circumstances. The trouble with this is the ultimately people have their own emotional related challenges which ultimately can cause them to fight the process of changing their behavior in order to greatly improve quality of their own life. Choosing to meet people where they are does not mean tolerating abuse but rather accepting that hurting people often do damage to their relationships because they do not know how to change their perspective. The grass is greener where you choose to water it.
This is a statement that my father shared with me at a time in my life when I was always thinking the grass was always greener on the other side of the fence.
Tonight I ask what is this all about?
What is the reason we think the grass is greener somewhere else?
I look forward to you joining me tonight.

Lennon James Picco, who was delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks when Chris' wife Ashley unexpectedly and tragically passed away in her sleep. Lennon's lack of movement and brain activity was a constant concern for the doctors and nurses at Loma Linda University Hospital, where he received the absolute best care available. During the pregnancy, Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so Chris asked if he could bring his guitar into the NICU and play for Lennon, which he did for several hours during the last days of Lennon's precious life. One day after filming this, Lennon went to sleep in his daddy's arms.
From a fathers heartbreaking rendition of Blackbird, we learn why you should never feed the homeless. Human litter is how society thinks of this population. I say, how we treat the lowest class, is how we as a whole will be judged. Profit and propriety have perverted our goodwill.

Most of us at some point in our lives know what its like to weep and mourn. Matt 5:4 is indeed a reasuring verse that's packed with truth. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." That tells me that God cares when we are hurting, afflicted and going through great pain or loss. Do you at times however, find yourself running away from the hurt, not wanting to experience it because its just simply too much to bear. There are many of you that find yourself in a place of despair and depression and have lost your joy. Its too difficult to go through Thanksgiving and Christimas because it just reminds you of the loss of your loved one. You do not have to go through this alone. And His love and grace touches us right where we are in our suffering and pain, and hears our cry. For He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.
