It's still BLACK HISTORY MONTH - do you know any Black facts - and do you wonder why there isn't a BROWN history month, or a RED history month? Stop and think about it. And let me ask you FANS, right here on the JKN, the Jay King Network - do you miss WILLIE JAMES, because he hasn't called in too much lately, I think he's moonlighting on KDEE. And let me ask you this - should Jay King stop MUTING people? That was part of the show FOR ME, but who I am? I don't smoke, I don't drink, but I just may stink. Anyway - we are here to open the doors to your minds, widen your vision - come saddle up and get on this train - KINGS IN THE MORNING (KITM) 347-205-9366.
Tonight we're joined by Elizabeth (Letchworth Chryst) who will give us her take on the New Hampshire primary and what she thinks will come next. Now that Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie have ended their campaigns, the field narrows. Who benefits?
Also, Congress critters on Capitol Hill have been busy at work doing the people's business. And like Ripley, you can believe it or not.
DECLARING THE FINSHED WITH REV. PAT RANDALL
Isaiah 43:18-21 (ESV) - Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
If our minds and our hands are closed because we are holding onto the past we will never receive the new that God has for us. Refuse to remain stuck, stagnant, not advancing or developing, not flowing, not active, not changing, or progressing. We are designed to advance…designed to move from Glory to Glory in Christ Jesus.

Our guest is Luke McAvoy, a defensive lineman for the University of Minnesota from 2011-14. He wrestled with a secret for years -- he was gay. McAvoy hid it fearing rejection but when he summoned the courage to come out, he was met with acceptance and support from teammates.
"It was the acceptance from my teammates that I will remember," he writes. "Being part of a family that did just about everything together for four years was amazing. Being part of a family that turned out to be so much more accepting and supportive than I could have imagined made me realize that I had nothing to fear. The only thing I should have been afraid of was what was in my own mind."
We discuss McAvoy's journey and Outsports' trip to the Super Bowl.
Guest Francis Moore Lappe, Writer and co-founder of the Small Planet Institute will share the details about and hopes for the Democracy Spring action in April.
“The campaign will begin on April 2nd with a march from the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. where thousands will gather to reclaim the US Capitol in a powerful, peaceful, and massive sit-in that no one can ignore. Over 1,500 people have already pledged to risk arrest between April 11th-16th in what will be one of the largest civil disobedience actions in a generation. Together we can open the door to reforms previously considered impossible and reclaim our democracy. Join us!

Basically: Your capacity for love is infinite. You can have the passionate relationship you dream about, if you’re willing to take a hard look at the one thing you have control over: you.
Natalie Vartanian is a Relationship Coach who knows her stuff. She believes love is an inside job that starts with you. That can be such a challenging concept when you think you're looking for someone else to "complete you". We're programmed to look outside ourselves for things or people to make us happy. Unfortunately, it never really works.
Natalie is going to talk us through how to take responsibility for happiness as an inside job.
Learning Life Lessons With Your Pet © Judy Helm Wright wwww.AnimalHumanConnection.com
Our family used to think we needed to focus on teaching and training our pets. Actually, it was the other way around. While we were concerned that they know about “sit” “shake hands” and “fetch” they already knew all the important stuff in life like loyalty, kindness and love. We were blessed with the animal wisdom they shared with us
This week we will focus on relationships:
Protect your loved ones
Be loyal to your pack members
After a conflict, shake it off and let it go
Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don’t say it in a mean way
Sometimes the best idea when it gets stressful is to close your eyes and ignore it
Love unconditionally without expecting anything in return
Don’t keep score of who does what for whom. You make the first move
Be open to being loved & accepted. Why wouldn’t someone like you?
Enjoy compliments and pats on the back
Greet your family with the same excitement I greet you.
Watch for non-verbal cues to gauge the character of visitors
If someone is mean to animals, they are not worth associating with
Understand the true value of a good friend. Friendship is the basis for all relationships
When someone is having a bad day, just sit close by quietly and listen
Be kind to those who may never have a treat for you
Never, ever lie or be unfaithful to those who love and trust you

B.B. King, born Riley B. King, was one of the most influential and celebrated blues musicians of all time. From his roots as a sharecropper’s son, working in the cotton fields of Mississippi, he rose to become a living legend — the most renowned blues singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer of the past 40 years — earning the moniker “King of the Blues.” Wednesday, February 10, 3 pm ET, The Halli Casser-Jayne Show takes a look at the life of the King of Blues with rock and roll legendary manager Jon Brewer, the award-winning producer/director of American Masters: B.B. KING: THE LIFE OF RILEY, premiering nationwide during Black History Month on Friday, February 12 at 9 p.m. on PBS. Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman narrates and appears in the film.
Director/Producer Jon Brewer is a well-established music & media industry veteran with a career in Music, Film and Television spanning 4 decades. He began in management with names such as David Bowie, Mick Taylor of The Rolling Stones, Alvin Lee (Ten Years After), Gene Clarke, Yes, and Gerry Rafferty before moving into publishing and the burgeoning video industry, where he was at the helm of the 3rd largest video distributor in the UK. Film Production soon followed. Ultimately he turned to making the most authentic series of music documentaries made with the full participation of the icons of Rock and Roll (The Classic Artists Series). He worked on B.B. KING: THE LIFE OF RILEY the film with King for two years. Filming was completed shortly before King passed on May 14, 2015.
