Media Nite Radio welcomes to the airwaves Kevin Chalfant. Music fans know Kevin best from his time as lead singer for the uber popular group, Journey for a limited run.
Chalfant's first national success came when he joined the group 707 in 1982. With Chalfant on lead vocals, the band enjoyed its biggest hit, "Mega Force", which peaked at #12 on Billboard 's Mainstream Rock chart but soon after they disbanded.
In 1984, Chalfant joined the band Steel Breeze. He recorded one album with the band, Heart on the Line, before leaving in 1985.
Chalfant later formed The Storm in 1990 with guitarist Josh Ramos and (former) Journey members Ross Valory (bass), Gregg Rolie (keys), and Steve Smith (drums). Journey, a multi-platinum band that was also no stranger to internal conflict, had undergone several personnel changes over the years. As Journey was splintering, The Storm was brewing.
Released by Interscope Records in late 1991, The Storm hit the album charts and the band's first single, "I’ve Got A Lot To Learn About Love" surged well into the Top 40 of the Hot 100. Faring even better at Mainstream Rock radio, the single peaked at #6 on the national Billboard charts, and its follow-up, "Show Me The Way" went to #22. That spring, the band went on a major US tour with Bryan Adams and opened for Peter Frampton. When the band was ready to release the second album, the label was emerged in the genre of rap. Therefore, when the album was finally released in 1996, the band was no longer viable.
In 1993, Journey came calling but by 1995, Steve Perry decided to return to the band leaving Chalfant out.
After some time off, Chalfant put out his first solo album and now is a member of The Voices of Rock.
Kevin will be at Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino and Racetrack in West Virginia. Get your tickets here:

SUBSTANTIAL LAW VS PROCEDURAL LAW IN The COUNTERFEIT COURTS OF AMERIKKKA!!
Understanding yo RELIGIOUS n KULTURAL GROUNDINGS versus LEGALISM (and what is Called THE LAW) is kritical in a Society created (and Built)On FALSE KONCEPTS and ASSUMPTIVE AUTHORITY.
You see, LEGALISM is ILLEGAL and UNTRUTHFUL! And the Courts of Amerikka are Jury-Rigged to Rob WE, The PEEPLE of the MOST HIGH of Our DIVINE ATTRIBUTES (replaced by HUMAN RIGHTS which are also Invalidated by the Courts since they have Assumed Control over RIGHTS n WRONGS). Thus, this is not LEGAL ADVICE--This is REAL LIFE (TRUTHFUL) advice.
However, it MUST be Inner and Understood that You are not simply a HUMAN BEING. You are a DIVINE LIVING. And therefore, can not allow your DIVINE ATTRIBUTES to be Replaced by (LEGAL-COURT RULED) HUMAN RIGHTS that are NOT in Accordance with those ATTRIBUTES.
Why the New York Times is Wrong – Using Basic Genealogy Tools and Methods to Show that Your Family Name Was Not Changed At Ellis Island.
There is a common misconception, call it an old wives tale or an urban legend, that family names were often changed at Ellis Island. Such myths gain a great deal of credibility when newspapers such as the New York Times, the country’s “paper of record”, perpetuates these myths by repeating them, in this case in obituaries.
When Kenneth saw one of these obituaries a few years ago, he wrote to the Times pointing out their error and suggesting sources that they could check to verify what he was saying. When they seemed to ignore him, he did the research on the family of the person named in the obituary and was able to show what the name was when the family immigrated and how the family name changed as they adapted to life in the United States. He sent all of the proof to the Times and was still ignored. Finally the Times responded. They were not going to do anything to correct the erroneous obituary but suggested they might do a news story on the issue. The experience led him to do a search of other Times obituaries with the Ellis Island story. He located about half a dozen. After doing the research on each, he was able to show the original name for each of them.

Eddie "A&R Eddie" Fourcell is currently head of A&R for Mary J. Blige's Matriarch Entertainment/Universal Music Group and head of 4Cell Entertainment, where he manages up and coming songstress Maryland Lavon.
His rise to a career as an A&R started in high school at the age of 17 years old when he was rewarded an internship with Island Def Jam through the schools internship program. At the time, the label was home to superstar heavyweights Jay Z, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and Young Jeezy, just to name a few. After making several connections and networking within the company, Eddie was able to partner with industry heavyweights that saw management opportunities for artist/producers/songwriters and after graduating from College, was asked to intern for Mary J. Blige's newly created record label, Matriarch Entertainment. In less than a year of interning there, he was asked by CEO and manager/husband to Mary J. Blige to work as lead A&R on Ms. Blige's 11th studio album, My Life II: The Journey Continues (2011).
While at the company he has worked as an A&R on Ms. Blige's Think Like A Man 2 Soundtrack and Mary's most recent critically acclaimed masterpiece The London Session. He has also worked on projects for label artist Starshell.
A&R Eddie's ability to spot raw talent and develop them makes him amongst the hottest A&R's making a meaningful impact within the music industry.
