Tune in Tonight with my guest Monet Forte'-Wilson, Director of Program Development.
This is a Youth Program that continues to Work and Parents and the Community are involved and the students are dedicated to the Team and the services they contribute to various communities outside of playing football and cheering!
The Calumet City Chargers Youth Cheer & Football Program is the largest and most successful program of the Tomorrows Youth Foundation, Inc.
Our goal is to develop well rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football and cheer, but also the importance of education, in an atmosphere favorable to developing sound mind, body and character while having a good time along the way. We practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness. Our program stresses self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship. We do our best to ensure each student athlete is utilized to his/her utmost potential and their talents are used for the best advantage of the team. The team comes before the individual.
The Calumet City Chargers is a founding member of the Chicago Southtown United Youth Football League. Our national youth cheer & football program is also a developmental partner of USA Football and we are proud to have football phenom, Garrett Wolfe, as our USA Football Ambassador. We are a community partner of the Israel Idonije Foundation, Keith Rucker's Reach 4 The Sky Foundation, and a member of Beta Alpha Mu Cheer Incorporated.

Since I began working with you back in your junior year, of high school physical fitness has always been a big part of your life. How have you transitioned from being a athlete and training year around for your sport to staying active in regular daily life?
I’ve tried to be a bit creative lately and have tried to stay active in ways other than weight lifting. I really enjoy mountain biking and hiking. I’ve also spent a lot of the time I used to spend training exploring other activties. I’ve found that in my last 6 months here I’ve seen and done more in the area than I did in my fours years in high school. I’ve also been wine tasting in Napa/Sonoma and skiing in Tahoe, which I never did before either. My main interests now are to start surf fishing and swimming more regularly.

The murder of Malcolm X, the exile of Robert F. Williams, who was forced the flee to Cuba with the combined terrors of the FBI and the minions of Southern justice snapping at his heels, and the exile of the late W.E.G. Du Bois, who, in the sunset of a valiant life, made three symbolic gestures as a final legacy to his people (renouncing his American citizenship, ‘returning’ to Africa to become a citizen of Ghana, and cursing capitalism while extolling communism as the hope of the future) —these three events on the one hand, and on the other hand the award of a Nobel Prize to Martin Luther King and the inflation of the image to that of an international hero, bear witness to the historical fact that the only Negro American allowed to attain national or international fame have been the puppets and lakers of the white power structure—and entertainers and athletes….
It is against the back ground of the traditional role of the Negro entertainer and athlete in racial crisis and the rebellion against that tradition — that the Muhammad Ali— Floyd Patterson fight for the heavyweight championship must be viewed." Soul On Ice by Eldridge Cleaver
"Malcolm X knew that he needed a prominent ally to help him launch a new organization once his permanent suspension became public. It so happened that Cassius Clay, scheduled to fight Sonny Liston for the heavyweight championship of the world, was a good friend of Malcolm X, one of the few people Malcolm X ever invited to this house….." JUdas Factor Karl Evanzz
"The broad support for Muhammed Ali among negroes had nothing to do with the black Muslims’ racist ideology. Even the followers of the late beloved Malcolm X, many of whom despise Muhammad Ali for the scurvy remarks he made about the fallen Malcolm….." Soul On Ice

She’s played male transvestites, a bio-mechanical warriors, Dominatrix, to a quirky unemployed rodent lover. She tossed around comedian Gene Wilder while playing Alice Cooper’s favorite Dominatrix on the TV series Something Wilder. And on HBO’s Arliss, she played a transvestite who lured a strait-laced athlete into a night of sin. In the indie feature, Donald and Dot Clock, her character bonded with a house-full of rodents.

When Gus Kenworthy came out on the cover of ESPN The Magazine, he got tons of attention for breaking a barrier in a "bro" sport and doing it as an Olympic medalist. Yet one other pro skier didn't much like how Kenworthy came out and the seeming attention he was drawing to himself for being gay. Is there such thing as too much attention for a gay athlete? And do this other skier's comments show that some teammates might not like the attention a gay athlete receives?
