Tim Mahoney debuts Patterns of Evidence on Life Lessons with Rick Tocquigny

    in Lifestyle

PATTERNS OF EVIDENCE: THE EXODUS” DVD is the award-winning feature-length documentary by filmmaker Timothy Mahoney that chronicles an in-depth archaeological investigation in Egypt as his team attempts to corroborate the biblical text. Now on DVD and Blu-ray (Aug. 4), the powerful film explores one fundamental question:  Is there any evidence that the Exodus story actually happened? Twelve years in the making, this provocative documentary reveals new or rarely seen evidence regarding the Israelites’ descent into slavery, their Exodus from Egypt and their ultimate conquest of the Promised Land.  Although many scholars and archaeologists deny the validity of the Exodus story for lack of proof, “Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus” builds a case that sheds new light on the story. The film received accolades at over a dozen film festivals and was presented as an exclusive Fathom event this past January (2015) at over 600 theatres nationwide.

PATTERNS OF EVIDENCE: THE EXODUS (HARDCOVER BOOK)

After interviewing some of the world’s leading archaeologists, author and filmmaker Tim Mahoney comes to a profound question: What if the experts have been looking for evidence in the wrong time period? The result is one of the most revealing and in-depth investigations into the Exodus ever captured on film, one that allows you to come to your own conclusions about an amazing pattern of evidence and what it might mean for today.

The companion book includes valuable insights and additional interviews not seen in the film, giving the reader a chance to get know the scholars and their positions better. Its pages are filled with beautiful photography of Egypt and Israel, scenes from the biblical re-creations, maps, charts, and diagrams.

    Catchpenny: Author Sarah Wathen

    in Books

An artist turned author, Sarah Wathen is a storyteller by trade and a painter at heart. She was trained in Classical Painting at the University of Central Florida, then completed graduate studies in Fine Art at Partons School of Design in New York City.

Her first step into the world of independent publishig was as an illustrator, and Sarah quickly realized she wanted to write her own books rather than illustrate others. That reinvention came as no surprise to family and friends, who remember her as a child always ready to turn a tale. Hours spent under the backyard stairs with her sister - dreaming up imaginary friends with outlandish names like Afisha and Pekins, and designing social networks called the Plant Club and The Tutu Group - were recorded and illustrated, too. Copies still exist under lock and key! Sarah currently resides in Florida and runs the indie label, LayerCake Productions.

    in Self Help

This week we’ve had a magnificent journey to spend a couple of hours with Gary Sinclair on two separate Skype sessions experiencing the download that was given to him in May of this year … from his latest book that cracks the code for healing titled ‘Healing Memories in Seconds.’ This download returns a loving energy to all … and will be featured on a TV PBS Special soon on Soul Healing.

Gary’s book releases how to scientifically neutralize any negative emotion or feeling including memories all the way to your worst ever in just seconds! He just returned from 6 weeks teaching in Australia where 10,000 memories were healed or neutralized all the way to PTSD.

Gary says, “He still remains in awe with what the universe delivered to him–as most therapies work only 60 to 80% of the time.”

Filmmaker Jade Justad discusses her film "Creased" - Co-hosted by Al Milbourne

    in Entertainment

    Jade Justad, regarding "Creased":

CREASED is a very personal film for me and by far the most intimate subject matter I have ever approached as a filmmaker. My inspirations and cinematic references for this film include the aesthetics of the Instagram account of Brandy Melville, the obsessive teenage behavior in “The Bling Ring,” Julie Chen’s story on The Talk and just as importantly the reactions of her co-anchors to her surgery, the close-ups and sensuality of “Blue is the Warmest Color,” the Korean American woman who waxed my bikini line as she told me I had more beautiful eyes than her because I have a crease, the emotional and inventive cinematography of “True Detective,” that guy in college who loved Buddhism when he was sober and racist jokes when he was on the Jack Daniels, the long takes and character driven heart of the “Before Sunset” trilogy, the woman at the Clinique make-up counter that offered tips to open up and “westernize” my eyes when I was thirteen, the youthful humor, verve, and fraying friendships of “Y Tu Mama Tambien,” and that time when I was a teenager and I looked in the mirror and wished a white girl was looking back at me. This film is for that girl. And all the girls like her. ”

J-Dub will bring us his musical guest, of course, and Mr. Hollywood Joel Casey will update us on what's going on in film industry.

The multi-talented Al Milbourne will be co-hosting with me.  Al is an accomplished actor/filmmaker/author who wrote the amazing book "The Cancer Patient".
