Join hosts Jacquie Kubin and Bob Taylor as we explore Kiruna, Sweden and Switzerland in Western Europe before dropping back to Italy to further explore Urbino, a walled city in the Marche region of Italy, south-west of Pesaro. Urbino is a World Heritage Site notable for a remarkable historical legacy of independent Renaissance culture, especially under the patronage of Federico da Montefeltro, duke of Urbino from 1444 to 1482.
Kiruna is Sweden’s northernmost city nestled about 90 miles about the Arctic Circle, and the local economy lives and dies with the productivity of the world’s largest iron-ore mine.
The most famous member of the Montefeltro family was Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino from 1444 to 1482, Thanks to his efforts, the nearly four decades of his rule the government was aimed at this purpose, which, thanks to his extraordinary qualities combined with a considerable fortune, he fully realized this dream.
Travel the world combines unique photography and information shared by people who have actually been there.
KaliSara and RevKess tend to focus on North America and Western Europe during PWN. Understandable, as they live in the Midwest of the United States. This week they will broaden their discussion of current events and news to encompass much of the global Pagan community. News from Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, South America and of course from North America will be touched upon.
Due to a scheduling conflict, this week's edition is on Wednesday instead of Thursday. The hosts will try to share any other scheduling issues during broadcast, but will continue to post updates in show descriptions for those who prefer to listen live.
We will continue our study in examinnig one the most important twin books in the Holy Bible, the books of 1st and 2nd Corinthians.
Now Corinth was a city-state located on an isthmus (a narrow strip of land connecting two larger land areas, usually with water on either side) that joined the Peloponnesus Peninsula (The southern most tip of Greece) to the mainland of Greece.
Because of where Corinth was geographically situated it was a city that was a meeting place of many nationalities and cultures. It served as a trade center between Asia and western Europe.. The city boasted of an outdoor theater that could seat 20,000 people, and often hosted athletic games the rivaled the ancient Olympic Games of Greece itself. It also was the home of the Great Temple of Aphrodite (Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love). This pagan temple housed over 1,000 prostitutes. The city was known for its corruption and immorality. Their debauchery was so blatant that the phrase, ":to act the Corinthians" meant to practice fornication. Many of the problems, and divisive issues that flowed throughout this city was a direct result of the sin and wickedness that festered in the hearts of the people that lived there.
To this city, Paul first came to preach, in the year A.D. 50, during his second missionary journey. Paul stayed there for nearly two years, preaching and winning many souls to Christ. After leaving, Paul wrote the Corinthian church a letter, which was lost (5:9), but, learning of disturbing news about some believers from other believers (7:1) prompted the apostle to write 1 Corinthians. All of these issues will be addressed and examined, during this indepth study.
Come with us, as we begin to understand the church established in Corinth... a church divided.
Our guest will be Janine Blaeloch, Founder & Director of Western Lands Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that fights public land privatization in order to protect the environment and the public interest. Their mission is to scrutinize public land trades, sales, giveaways, and any project that would cede public land. Their goal is to keep public land public.
Janine will talk about the destructive utility-scale solar plants planned on 19 million acres of public lands open to industrial solar applications, instead of alternatives that would focus solar development on degraded lands and in the already-built environment.
Each year, approximately 200 land deals are proposed by the Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service, in addition to those introduced by legislation. The BLM & the Forest Service do exchanges of land with private parties, including timber companies, mining corporations, ranchers, and developers
While the two sides must get lands of equal market value, and the exchange must create a net benefit for the public, the appraisal process can be corrupted and the public interest is often ignored. For years, the Forest Service was trading lushly forested lands to timber companies in exchange for the cut-over, damaged land the companies had already exploited.
And in the U.S. Congress, members wheel, deal, carve up, and give away public lands with no regulations to hinder them. Frequently, the bottom line is the direct, pragmatic opportunity to reward friends or curry political favor through the gift of public land.

In continuing the series on the North American Sasquatch Researcher, Nite Callers Bigfoot Radio presents Robert Robinson from Florida. Robert Robinson was born at Hamilton AFB, CA. He grew up an Army brat and had the privilege of visiting Europe numerous times. After graduating high school at Lansing Kansas, Robert enlisted in the United States Army in June 1982. He received his Basic and Advanced Individual Training as a Military Policeman at Ft McClellan, Alabama.
Rob, when he was young, became interested in Cryptozoology after watching the TV cartoon series “Jonny Quest” and the movies” The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas” and “The Legend of Boggy Creek”. His mother, who is from Scotland, related stories of the Loch Ness Monster, to him. Also, his uncle would relate scary stories of the Fouke Monster and Bigfoot. Because the whole subject of real monsters scared him, Rob started researching monster legends by reading every book he could. Rob also became interested in UFO and extratertriels after watching the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”. His fear turned into intrigue and then became a hobby and passion. After retiring from the Army, Rob started going on Swamp Ape expedition with the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. Tracy (Rob’s wife) also had an interest in the unexplained and accompanied him on his monster hunts. Tracy also conducted paranormal research investigations such as haunting and ghosts. Rob has stated that “When you are out at night, monster or ghost hunting, there is nothing better than being scared and excited at the same time. I would monster/ghost hunt 24/7 if I had the opportunity”.

The NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone. Danny Ainge made 2 moves shipping away Marcus Thorton and a 2016 first round pick courtesy of the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Isaiah Thomas. Ainge then sent Tayshaun Prince to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome. The Celtic's began the 2nd half of the NBA season taking on the Sacramento Kings in Sacramento. The Celtics are among 6 teams all fighting for the final 2 playoff spots in the eastern conference. The Celtics have a good shot to make the NBA playoffs despite not having any major stars and their chances of making the playoffs went up with the way the trade deadline went seeing teams like the Nets trade away players like Kevin Garnett and teams like the Heat lose players to season ending injurys like Chris Bosh with blood clot's. So it looks like it will be the Celtics fighting for the playoffs rather then tanking. We will breakdown the latest new's as well as hot Thomas, Jerebko and Datome have faired in their first week as Celtic's. Has Thomas shown he can be that difference maker many thought he would be after the team traded for him or did losing a 3 point shooter like Thorton come out to be too much. ADAM LOWENSTEIN aka Stats Adam will join the Celtics Talk Crew to discuss the Celtics performances in the back end of their western conference road trip coming out of the All-Star break
Joining Audrey for this week's REELTalk - ISIS continues its march against the West virtually unabated...and part of the blame can be laid upon Western leaders. When will this Jihad against Christians end? Is a reformation needed to solve this terror wave, OR are we seeing the reformation right before our eyes in the actions of ISIS? We'll discuss this with Islamic scholar & author, RAYMOND IBRAHIM! PLUS, Boko Haram continues to terrorize Christians in Nigeria...but their Jihad has spread to bordering states and it's as savage as ever...Dr. PETER HAMMOND will be here direct from South Africa to bring us up-to-date...because the Western media refuses to! AND, top stories at the top of the show! Freedom: if you don't protect it, you can't keep it!!
