Mountain West media days take place in Las Vegas on July 22 and 23, so to get everyone prepared we decided to preview the event. Not a ton of news comes out of media day so Matthew, Jeremy and Chris predict who the media will pick to win the Mountain and West divisions, plus the offensive and defensive players of the year.
Since no one from the staff can be at media days we go out of our way to pick who we would like to talk to the most from players and coaches. We give legitimate questions as well some off the all one's, too.
Have a listen as we get everyone prepped for the event to signifies football is just around the corner.
Doug Rigg is an outstanding football player who was the starting ILB/OLB for West Virginia and has received many accolades during his Collegiate and High School career. Rigg played in 45 career games with 22 starts, 1 TD and had 141 tackles with 9 tackles for a loss and 3 sacks in his career including a forced fumble against USF in 2011 that gave the Mountaineers the possession they used to win the game and clinch an Orange Bowl bid. In 2012, Rigg was named to 2nd Team All-Big-12 Academics. Rigg excels at stopping the run, has good football instincts, superior play recognition and a willingness to learn and develop as a player.
