Jeremy and Chris are back to recap the first week of the Mountain West football season, and of course we know nothing. Not because we are dumb -- well some may think so -- but all of the offseason studying we did seemed to be for naught. The league went 1-5 in FBS games with Colorado State being the lone victor of that group as they beat rival Colorado.
The other half of the games were against FCS foes, and thus it is hard to take a ton out of that and make sense of it.
We discuss how Colorado State and Hawaii are looking to be actual contenders in each respective divison, and that Boise State is not going to go away quietly. Also, Fresno State really could be in a lot of hurt this year after its loss ot USC, and it doesn't help they face Utah and Nebraska in the next few weeks.
Oh, and there was this game we don't really want to mention that happened on Sunday night.
Sit back and enjoy the Week 1 Mountain West football recap.
Black indigenous natives in West Papua have gravely suffered slow extermination at the hands of Indonesian occupation for 50 plus years. The inhumane murders and abuse have most recently escalated while supremacy, land grabs, torture, racism and blatant greed - fuel genocide with impunity. Indigenous Black natives are currently being raped, starved and tortured at alarming rates; activists are brutally murdered or held as political prisoners by the Indonesian government.
Genocide By Murder and Land Grab
West Papua is located in the South Pacific Ocean between Australia and the equator, it occupies the western portion of the second largest island in the world. The island is currently known as New Guinea and was formerly Dutch New Guinea. West Papua is a province of Indonesia and is not to be confused with the Independent State of Papua New Guinea. It is situated west of Papua, Indonesia, according to the map above. Since the 1700's the word Papua has been used synonymously to mean frizzy hair, dark skin, slave, dark and dirty.http://www.nancylockhart2013.blogspot.com/2014/08/a-secret-war-genocide-of-west-papua-in.html

With the new football season right around the corner and the pre season having begun. It is time for the boys of West Coast Bias to take a look at the grid iron. Over the next five weeks WCB is going to be taking a look at the West Coast NFL teams and how they stack up in the league this season. The 1st of these teams is the team that had the most cap money to spend and had one of the best off-season’s this year and that was the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders made a lot of moves this offseason and every one of them helped this team get better. So tune in on Sunday night at 8pm PST to Double K and The Doual as they kickoff the football season and talk Raiders football right here on West Coast Bias on the 4ACES Network. www.Blogtalkradio.com/fouracespresents ...
To call the opening game against Rutgers disappointing would be an understatement but the Cougs have to move on quickly with a trip to Reno to fave the Nevada Wolf Pack. Jeremy Mauss from Mountain West Connection visits with us to discuss the Wolf Pack and we break down what went wrong with the WSU defense last week.
As always, we'll have the Dunderhead of the Week and Ask Michael Anything to end things!

Show Topic: "Art and Spirituality"
Born December 10th, 1969, in Sacramento, California, Chad Glass showed early signs of a talent for drawing. Born into a life of television, Chad’s art director father, Chris Glass, took him along on the weekends to the art department where learning and exploration were encouraged. From ages 3, 4, 5, 6 and beyond, while moving from California, to Massachusetts, to Georgia, then back to California, a life in broadcasting influenced and shaped the way Chad approached his art, cultivating a sense of visual storytelling.
“Everything I’ve learned about storytelling I’ve learned from television storyboarding. Moreover, drawing has been the bridge across every gap in my life,” says Chad. “Since there are only 7 basic stories that anyone could ever tell, it doesn’t matter where one learns to tell these stories as the structures are all the same whether you watch them on t.v. or read them in a book.” Continuing to draw well into adulthood, it only made sense he would need to keep doing it to survive: “I am not really capable of doing anything else in life except for being an artist. This is both an amazing gift and a worldly burden. Even though I write and play music, too, these are within the arts.”
In 1999 he moved to Los Angeles from Georgia and established a career as a storyboard artist in Hollywood. He continues to draw but today focuses more on returning to painting and serving beauty instead of “industry.” He lives in Sylmar with his wife and cat.
