Plan a ‘date’ for shopping
Rather than going to a movie, go shopping for a few hours. Tell him how happy that would make you. This tactic may work even better if you have done some pre-shopping and know exactly where the good stuff is. You may only have 1-3 hours, so it’s best to use that time very efficiently.
2. Buy clothes for him, either as presents or just because ‘you were in the city anyway’
If he does not want to go shopping, there is no reason you should not. Get a tape measure out and get his measurements and sizes and go shopping at those shops that allow returns. Find a moment when he is most relaxed to get him to (at least) try the clothes.
When shopping for your husband, keep the following things in mind:
Buy things that match his style and personality. Even though it may be a lot less hip than you would desire, there is no point buying things that he does not feel comfortable with.
Check with him what his favorite clothes are and if those are getting old, find some good replacements.
Concentrate on quality rather than quantity. Men look much better in high quality clothes and you don’t want to make too many shopping trips for him.
Make sure to buy items in color. Men need more color in their wardrobe too!
3. Give lots of compliments when he wears something nice and encourage him to buy more of the same
You never know, the penny may suddenly drop…
4. Alert him to clothes that do not fit, and (gently) suggest that they need to be brought to a tailor.
When clothes don’t fit well your man will never look good.
5. Make sure he owns a few good basics. Things to look out for are:
Meditate and relax through the words of famed authors, celebrity meditation leaders and with CharLena on Midnight Meditation with CharLena.

Louie Miller is the director of the Mississippi Chapter of the Sierra Club, which has been working to protect the health of communities and the environment in the Magnolia State for more than two decades. Louie has led cutting-edge campaigns and has built powerful, diverse coalitions of community groups, working with some of the South’s most celebrated community and environmental justice advocates in the process.
Miller has earned national attention for his work challenging Mississippi Power’s Kemper County coal plant, the only coal plant to break ground during the Obama Administration and likely the last coal plant that will ever be built in the United States. From the beginning, Louie challenged the plant for being “dirty, expensive, and unnecessary.”
Louie lives outside Jackson, Miss., on a farm with several beloved dogs and enjoys trips to the beach with his family.
We are back this week with an hour of soap chat. As always, we encourage fans to call in or join our live chat (the chat link is always posted on our Twitter page prior to the show). We have a lot to discuss and will be covering both Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful.
The past two weeks on Days have focused primarily on the fallout of Will's article. Some fans love this story twist while others find it hard to believe that Will would expose his family and good friend just to get his name out there. This also caused major tension between Wilson. Do you think the writers will take Will in a new direction or was this a one time thing?
Kristen's story has also gained steam and fans gained insight into how she will avoid jail time. Stefano has also joined the canvas and let Kami know this week that the games are offically over.
The Bold and the Beautiful has focused primarily on Hope and Wyatt's wedding and the events (and miscommunications) leading up to it. Do you love this pairing or think the wedding never should have happened? Do you want to see Liam fight for Hope or would you like to see him paired with Ivy? Do you love that Quinn is back and more meddling than ever or wish she would focus on something other than Wyatt's love life?
We hope you can join us as we discuss all this and more this week on Littany. We can't wait!
Well I am back, doing a live show, since I have decided that I will be transitioning to video podcasts in October or November, so we may be winding down the regular shows in a little while.
But while the logistics are being figured out, I am still doing the shortened shows this month and today we are going to talk about New Beginnings. I just got back from the wedding of my closest friend in the world and it brought to mind a lot of things about beginning and so I thought I would talk about those today. Hope it will resonate with you and help you move towards what it is you want.
So sit back and join in on the fun.

Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk-Show Host Nazim Rashid is the guest speaker today continuing his series on Improving, Repairing and Preparing for Relationships based on his book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. In the media reports, reality shows and among friends, you hear a great deal about weddings; the feelings; the glow, the friends, the gowns, suits, the wedding venue, the biggest diamond ring, the fun, the excitement, etc. You don’t hear anything about what it takes to have a committed, long lasting, healthy, happy marriage. You don’t hear about the joy attained from a spiritually connected relationship. You don’t hear about how commitment carries over the challenging hurdles and how loving the spirit inside connects you to each other, no matter how the exterior changes over time. You don’t hear about these things because it is not in the fun and exciting category. There are tools provided in the book Reconnected that speak to the areas of longevity, health and real bonding that is needed for a long term relationship to exist. Nazim will continue talking about the connection of Spirituality and marriage longevity.
