The Lundyn Brown Show Episode: Marriage Soup for the Soul

    in Culture

"I think the biggest issue in marriage is boundary problems. Spouses so often try to change the other in the name of helpfulness. The truth is the only person you can change is you. You married them the way they are. If they're a slob, they probably were since childhood. The best you're going to do is change your response."

Liberty Aid Debt Removal with Joe Cigler

    in News

When Liberty Aid heard about Joe Ciglers's situation, Joe's home was already foreclosed on.  The Sheriff Sale was in less than 10 days of Joe's home.  It is really hard to paint a more bleak picture of someone that was for sure going to lose their home than Joe.  But that all changed when Joe started working with Liberty Aid.

This long saga, still in process, about how Joe remains in his home and what his struggle has been like is what the focus of this episode is about.  This is real life and a real courageous man who saved his home and how the continuing struggle goes.  The thing of it is now though, the shoe is on the other foor and Joe is hunting the banksters instead of the other way around.

This is a special segment of Evolve Quest, sponsored by Liberty Aid, the only non profit that guarantees your debt will be removed, that shows what is behind all the banking lies first hand from someone removing their debt successfully.  Feel free to call in and ask anything that comes to mind.

Bobby Brown Bail and Beyond with Special Guest Rick McCallum

    in Entertainment

At the age of three, Rick’s mom and dad took him to a John Wayne movie, where the key scene was a stage coach going over a cliff..obviously very impressed by what he saw, Rick drove his little red pedal car as fast as he could past his parents, who watched in horror as he headed toward the flight of stairs directly in front of him.. his dad tried to catch up to him but could only watch as he went airborne, and then he, while still in the pedal car, rolled end over end, crashing into the floor at the bottom of the stairs..Rick received two black eyes for his effort..

At the age of thirteen, when he lived in the country, a small place called Sam’s Valley in southern Oregon, his dad was having a bunch of people over for an outdoor barbecue..deciding that the party needed a little excitement, Rick rode his Honda 50 motorcycle through the party, all while he was standing on the seat..after the party, he received a sore behind for his effort..Rick entered the stunt business in 1981..who would have guessed?

Rick’s first movie was Lone Wolf McQuade, a Chuck Norris movie that was filmed in El Paso. While working on the movie he met another stuntman by the name of Kane Hodder, who became one of his best friends, and they have worked in numerous movies and TV shows together..Kane went onto to play the character Jason Voorhees in four Friday the 13th movies, as well as Victor Crowley in the Hatchet trilogy..

With the help of Kane, Director Richard Friedman, ( Darkwolf, Born, among many others, which Richard had Rick as stunt coordinator) and Director Adam Green of the Hatchet series, who cast Rick as John , the silent hunter in Hatchet 2, and has had Rick on several other projects, including Saber, which won Best Picture and Best Action at Comic Con, Rick has gone on to be in more than 70 movies and TV shows.. Sunday on the Front Stoop, Should all debt be forgiven - world wide?

    in Energy

What do you think?  Should all debt be forgiven.  Not just bank debt and 'too big to fail' company or national debt.  All debt, individual debt - world wide.  What would be the result?  Maybe our flawed economies could benefit from a regular 'reset'?

    Ellen Matloff and MyGeneCounsel

    in Health

Joyce speaks with Ellen Matloff, geneticist, about her newest venture, MyGeneCounsel.

Ellen Matloff, MS, CGC is the President and CEO of My Gene Counsel. Ellen is the founder and former director of the Cancer Genetic Counseling Program at Yale School of Medicine and a lead plaintiff in the 2013 United States Supreme Court gene patent case. Ellen has authored more than 50 scientific publications in the field, is an established educator, lecturer and media spokesperson and has received national awards for her ongoing patient advocacy efforts.

She was the 2013 honoree of ArtBra New Haven for her work with hereditary breast cancer, and particularly for helping to challenge the validity of patenting the genes for breast cancer.

Ellen’s area of special interest is BRCA I and BRCA II mutations, which vastly increase the probability of a carrier developing breast and/or ovarian cancer. For the past 18 years, she has been dedicated to patient and provider issues in cancer genetic counseling, and the impact of genetic patents on patients and clinical practice.

Ellen was one of the lead plaintiffs in Association of Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics, the landmark case before the U.S. Supreme Court, which challenged the validity of patenting naturally-occurring substances from the human body. Myriad Genetics had patented the BRCA I and II genes, and held the monopoly on testing. This effectively froze research, and made necessary testing unaffordable for many patients, leaving them to make huge decisions about their treatment without vital information. Ellen worked tirelessly for the interests of breast cancer patients and their families.
