My Job Chart grew from his desire to find a way to teach his kids to about work ethic, accountability, responsibility, time management and making smart money decisions. Sounds like a great idea - but is that possible?

Our special guest Nick (the Kick) Lowery was extremely successful in his early career, an inspiration to boys in the US and around the world. MyRA & GRA's vs. IRA's and 401(k)'s - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. One of the underlying questions for each topic on the show is whether it will help our listeners "Live the American Dream"? In past generations several retirement programs were introduced to provide a safety net as people retire. Among those were "defined benefit plans" like government Social Security and company pensions. Economic and financial uncertainties plus bankruptcies led to eliminating or dramatically reducing most company plans. Likewise we see Social Security plans throughout the world facing bankruptcy, depletion or a reduction of benefits.
In the meantime we've seen an expansion of "defined contribution plans" that put more control in the hands of the beneficiary. Those who learn to invest wisely have the opportunity become wealthy, those who would rather watch TV than learn about investing, will have to depend on the government Social Security during retirement. Our guest Teresa Ghilarducci has proposed an expansion of the US government's role in pension plans, probably at the expense of avid savers & investors.
Prof. Ghilarducci is the author of "When I'm Sixty Four", the Bernard L. and Irene Schwartz Chair in economic policy analysis at the New School, and a prime driver behind GRA's and MyRA's announced in the President's 2014 State of the Union address. What is a GRA? Should you setup a MyRA? What happens to the $17 Trillion currently invested in retirement plans? Will her proposal help you "Live the American Dream?" Or will it merely spread your wealth to others?

Protecting your Intellectual Property (IP) - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll discuss a topic for listeners who ever had a valuable idea. And for those of you whose future income is dependent on one or more of those successful ideas ... it's a critical topic. Would you buy a car without the car's title? Could you imagine where Bill Gates would be now if he launched Microsoft Windows and his company didn't own the rights to it?
We've asked Barbara Luther, founder and owner of The Luther Law Firm in Scottsdale AZ, to be our special guest to cover this important topic. She specializes in Intellectual Property (IP) Protection and has helped hundreds of individuals and companies worldwide secure patents. Whether you're an inventor, entrepreneur, author, business owner, corporate executive, creative employee, or even a retired "tinkerer", you won't want to miss this show.
Have you ever wondered why some companies are successful even though they weren't first to market? Will a patent in the US protect you against knockoffs coming from China? What's the difference between a registered Trade Name & a Trademark? What if someone use your web domain in other countries? How can you protect some of the articles and presentations with original ideas? How about some of your best sayings? For the answer to these and many more questions, grab a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join the conversation …
Africa the Next Frontier? - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll talk about opportunities on a continent most investors never even consider. And when they hear the idea, they merely ask: Do they have financial markets in Africa? Are there already publicly traded companies with a track record? Will I be able to buy their shares through my investment advisor? Are many multi-national companies setting up operations in Africa?
We've asked Robert Scharar the Senior International Fund Manager of the Commonwealth Funds, and President of FCA Corp. to come back and share what opportunities he saw that led to the creation of the Africa Fund. Was it because it was indeed the next investment frontier? Was China's massive investments on that continent a driver? Or is it because the developed markets have reached their peak? So prepare your questions, grab a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join the conversation …
An Embarrassment of Riches - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating and informing savers & investors. Entrepreneurs and investors are by nature optimists. If we weren't optimistic, we wouldn't risk our time and capital, neither financial nor intellectual on uncertain ventures. On the other hand, we're bombarded daily by bad news from every media outlet and from naysayers, thus challenging our natural optimism. Is the glass half empty, half full, or merely twice as large as it needs to be?
Are we living in an era plagued by the Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times"? We seem to be surrounded by riots, revolutions, wars, hatred, threats of war, and dysfunctional governments. There are outcries for those who worked hard and succeeded to "spread the wealth" to help those less fortunate. So we've invitedAlexander Green to join us and share his refreshing perspective. Alexander Green is the Chief Investment Strategist of The Oxford Club and Investment U. He is the author of "An Embarrassment of Riches" and 3 other best selling books on investing, as well as editor of 3 investment newsletters.
The financial markets are rising to record highs, while the world is in turmoil. Is this an indication that investors are out of sync with the real world? Can this bull market continue to stampede despite all the bad news? What can we expect over the next 1, 5 or 20 years? For the answers to these and many more questions, get a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join in the conversation …
Off-shoring Operations & Banking - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating and informing savers & investors. If you heard the introduction to our last show on Asset Protection, you know I'm not a happy US Citizen lately. The US government keeps adding new regulations to complicate life for citizens with financial dealings overseas.
More US citizens are renouncing their citizenship, and the US government is adding regulations to stop them from opening new bank accounts. Some are just putting up with the added bureaucracy, and others are taking a totally different approach. They're building on a trend that has been expanding for the last 40 years in our global village - outsourcing. Companies and businesses are "off-shoring" their operations and banking either despite of, or maybe because of these growing regulations.
Is this a trend that could help enhance your business profitability, or build your wealth? We will ask Jack A. Bass our special guest to share why he sees this approach worth considering. Our listeners may remember him as the author of "The Gold Investor's Handbook" and "The Apprentice Millionaire Portfolio" (which is true). Jack A. Bass is also one of Canada's top ranked economists, and a manages a consulting company. He is focusing more of his time now on Outsourcing and Offshoring, for both businesses and individuals. Is this an idea which might make sense for you? What are some of the key benefits for businesses? Benefits for individuals? How are the increasing government regulations affecting the advantages and risks? For the answers to these and many more questions, get a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join in the conversation …
Asset Protection - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll cover a critical topic to avoid losing your accumulated wealth in a lawsuit or other unplanned event. Would you drive a car without liability insurance? Would you own a home without property & casualty insurance? Would you invest $100,000 without doing due diligence? If not - then why should you risk losing the wealth you accumulate?!
We've asked Ike Devji, J.D. with Davis Miles McGuire Gardner to be our special guest to cover this vital topic. Ike specializes in Asset Protection and has helped more than 3,500 clients avoid losing their combined assets of over $5 Billion. Whether you're a physician, dentist, business owner, corporate executive, real estate investor, or even retired, you will NOT want to miss this show.
Why worry about Asset Protection - won't an umbrella insurance policy cover all risks? Many real estate investors ask whether they should hold assets in an LLC, multiple LLC's, or is a Trust better? Others ask if they should put all their assets in a Family Trust? Then there are the 2% who invest within a true Self Directed IRA, and thus feel their assets are bullet proof against lawsuits. These are typical situations that Ike probably hears about regularly ... unfortunately some will be after the investor's wealth is in jeopardy. Are you in one of those categories? Or do you have a sound Asset Protection plan? Regardless of your situation, we're confident you will be better off by tuning in to this show. So prepare your questions, grab a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join the conversation …
Managing your Credit Score - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll cover a topic important to investors as well as all consumers. It's a topic that is often discussed – but seldom fully understood.
We've asked Gail Cunningham, of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), based in Washington DC, to be our special guest to cover this vital topic. Clearly working in the US capital brings her in close contact with people who have immense influence on the immense national debt. Although our focus will be on your personal debt, and managing it to minimize your expenses and maximize your potential for using leverage profitability.
Certainly I'd like to better understand the magic formulas used by the credit bureaus. Why is my credit score so important? What are the most important levers for managing our credit score? How do I get a copy of my credit reports and the all-important FICO credit score? What can I do if I find errors? Will my credit score improve if I eliminate all of my debt? Where can I go to get help managing my credit score?

Long Term Care (aka LTC) - The Wealth DNA radio show is dedicated to helping you increase your wealth, as well as educating savers & investors. During this show we'll cover one of the most important topics that could affect your financial future and standard of living.
We've asked Lyn Rowe, CFP of I Want My LTC to be our special guest to cover this vital topic. Lyn Rowe, is a Certified Financial Planner and Care Management Specialist. She helps eligible people apply for VA Aid and Attendance Benefits, shop for and apply for Long Term Care Insurance, and develop asset allocation strategies to protect spouses.
Many of us feel we'll stay healthy for the last rest of our lives, and thus don't need to put money aside for long-term care. Others assume that the wealth they'll accumulate will be sufficient to cover future health care costs. And a large number of people assume that Medicare (or other national healthcare plan), along with help from their kids will be enough. Are you in one of those categories? Or do you plan to setup an account for long-term care? Regardless of your answer to these questions, we're confident you will be better off by tuning in to this show. So prepare your questions, grab a cup of coffee, or glass of wine and join the conversation …
